Re: Petition: Remove Cops-as-Pigs Painting from the Capitol

Re: Conceal carry at work

Some seem to not understand the term "compromise" and the concept of finding a balance between two different positions.

With some everything is all all or nothing or black or white. However, when living in a society one is going to have to compromise on some issues.

Re: Attempted robbery at Dixie Gun and Pawn: 1911 saves the day!

Was it the inanimate object called a 1911 that saved the day or was it the person using the inanimate tool that saved it? Both! The synergy of a combat effective pistol and caliber wielded by a man that knows what he's doing! I think you missed the spirit in which my comment was made. Did...

Re: Joe Straus Reelected Speaker

He was unopposed. What else would could be expected? :headscratch To be opposed. I'm not a big Joe Straus fan but open carry did pass last session under his watch and I believe he had a hand in it. If he can help HB560 along to the floor for a vote, I'll give him a few points. :smash: <----- Joe St...

Re: Bills legalizing knuckle possession?

The law does not say asps or expandable batons are illegal to own, possess and have as it does knuckles. That's the difference. You are conflating two different issues. This discussion is about knuckles and not expandable batons. It would take legislative capital and energy to pass legislation maki...

Re: Bills legalizing knuckle possession?

I haven't seen any widespread interest in getting these things legalized and I do not believe it worth any political capital or energy to do so. Maybe LEOs could just read the law, and then enforce it as written. Not sure we need new laws to clarify what is written in a law already on the books. I ...
