Re: Source of decently priced .45 projectiles?

Try looking at these folks. I've had good results with them in the past

Re: Miniature Lathe?

Harbor Freight (?) used to sell them and I still have mine from 1997. Ran well and was good enough to hold zero for most small items.
If I was a bit younger I'd keep it but I'll probably see what I can swap it for.

Re: Genuine Mags or aftermarket?

FWIW: Years ago when I was into Bullseye completion I used only COLT and S&W mags for match shooting and "brand X" for practice or plinking. Might work for you.

At work for PanAm deep inside the No.3 Main fuel tank on a Boeing 707-121 repairing a cracked wing spar. Left some skin there getting out to listen to the news reports.

Re: What store in Houston sells Black Powder?

It's hard to buy locally due to fire regs but you can mail order (+ hazmat fees). Try www.buffaloarms.com they will ship singles or case lots.
Good luck

An Interesting book

As an "old guy" I spend a great deal of time reading, takes fewer muscles and saves strength for range time. I got hold of a new book from the local library last week entitled "ARMED IN AMERICA" by Patrick J. Charles. It is a "history" of the 2nd amendment, guns and pol...

Re: Hillary Explains Why She Lost

Someone needs to send her a mirror (preferably one made of steel so she doesn't crack it.)

Never pick a fight with an old timer; he'll probably just kill you.

Re: New online CHL application & procedures

Used the on-line renewal process today. Worked fine, and took about 3 minutes. Hats off to the crew that put the system in work.

Got my LTC today, 10/4/16. Renewal submitted 8/29/16. Not bad at all.

Very good food and reasonable. Drinks are also good. Have been there many times and no CHL issues. Unless there is a very
recent change in policy you should have a good, armed, dinner

Re: Sig P938

I have one now about 2+ years and consider it a great EDC. Easy to carry, accurate, and well made. BUT It went back to SIG when the trigger/sear mechanism failed and jammed. Took SIG 4 days to fix and return it and it has run fine since. I have about 500+ rounds thru it now with 0 failures. I am als...

S&W buys Crimson Trace

Just saw a brief biz-note saying that S&W has bought out Crimson Trace for big bucks. Sounds like a good merger fit.
