Re: Throwing knives / Spikes

As someone who has taken the time to learn to throw knives pretty well, I can tell you that it takes a great deal of practice and is still not something you would want to rely on for self defense, even once you get pretty proficient. Re: I'm going to apply...

When nightmare69 (a member here on this forum) was going through the police academy, he posted a continuing journal of his experiences in a thread here. I found it very entertaining and informative. Perhaps you could do something similar. I'm sure we would all enjoy it. Good luck! I'll do that here.

I'm going to apply...

So I'm going to go and apply at SAPD. We are short several officers and it's been a dream of mine to be a police officer. Eventually I would like to become a homicide investigator.

I'm kind of nervous. Wish me luck guys.

Rack the slide and carry with one in the chamber. It'll be okay. Don't forget to post your Glock leg story though. :evil2:

3 suspects dead in home invasion

The home owners son shot and killed 3 home invaders with an "assault rifle". Two of the suspects were armed with a knife and brass knuckles.

Reunited

My father came to this country 42 years ago for a better life. He became an American citizen, got married and started a family. My father worked very hard and built his home just how he designed it. Unfortunately he lost contact with his family back home. Today, after 42 years of not seeing or heari...

Re: 6 weeks Taurus... 6 weeks

I've had several Taurus pistols. PT940, PT111, Pt140, PT92 and a few others. The only one that functioned correctly was the PT92. I think it was a lemon.

Re: A few new reads

My brother's wife asked the uncle if things had "gotten scary" when the hurricane went through. He replied "Well, when the ceiling in the living room started coming down and the front porch blew away, I got a little nervous." I know a few older men who are just like this. Either...

For anyone who has actually handled a FiveSeven pistol: Going by its specs, I really want to like pistol, butI've seen it only in pictures. The safety lever seems awfully far forward to me. How do you find it to operate? I have short fingers, going by the pictures I am not sure that my thumb would r...
