Re: Minnesota LTCer Shoots Motorist After Car Accident

I don’t wonder why he was charged. I used to live in Minnesota. The twin cities and Rochester are as liberal as they come. In fact, the Hennepin County sheriff (city of Minneapolis) at one time was refusing to issue CHLs.

Agree with JustSomeOldGuy- surprised they got back to business the next day. I give the school props for that.

Both pistols look good. I like the Taurus brand; I find you get good bang for your buck.

Re: Alien Gear Shape Shift Holster System

I got an AG Shapeshifter for Christmas and have been using it daily since. I carry a Glock 23 IWB at 4 o’clock. Granted, it’s only been a little over a week, but I like it so far; it is very comfortable. That said, it’s huge! (Yes I know- that’s what she said). I find the size a little off putting. ...

Re: Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns

If businesses can be forced to serve clients they prefer to not serve under penalty of law they can be required to allow concealed carry since they won't even know if/when it is happening! Sure, all it takes is a law stating they have to. Hope and pray. As a conservative, I tend to land on the side...

Re: Denton County Precinct 3 Government Center 30.06/30.07

The county courthouse in Denton doesn't allow firearms either, even though there are other offices there that are not actual courts. I believe this is also a violation. After years of having my CHL/LTC, I'm just now starting to actively carry, so I've still a little "gun shy" on reporting/...

Re: Going to Austin. State capital question.

I have a friend from out of state who holds a carry permit from his home state of Florida, which Texas recognizes. We are planning on visiting the State Capitol building. I haven't read or heard of anything that would prohibit him from carrying into the State Capitol with his Florida permit, but wan...

Sorry I missed this! Don't know if you guys usually use this thread to organize these, but if you have a PM list or something else I'd like to be added to that list, please.

They may consider you to be a temporary resident if you are staying there and working there. As Johnboy said- you are a brave man!

Re: TSA Contact

A few years ago, I had a similar incident as Mel. I had a TSA agent refuse to accept my military ID. I was doing the same thing as Mel- trying to get to my DL but the agent happened to see my military ID. It ticked me off, so I told the agent it was the only ID I had and she needed to call her super...

Re: Really Ticked Off

If you were convicted or placed on deferred adjudication for an offense under Title 5 of the Texas statutes, there must be an affirmative finding of domestic violence in the sentencing in order for this to be considered domestic violence. So the bottom line is under what statute were you ultimately ...

Re: Really Ticked Off

I'm no lawyer, but in order for that to be considered to be domestic violence, doesn't the judge have to enter into the judgement a finding of domestic violence? Without that finding of domestic violence in the court order, it is my understanding that it is not domestic violence.

Re: Traffic Violation

Agree with acronym. Cops are not your friends stopping you just to chit chat. You are their "customer" and they are stopping you for a business interaction. Be respectful and await their instructions. Then politely do what you are instructed to do.
