Re: WLP Resigning, Effective 31-JAN-2024
It's good that he's gone. WLP basically wore out his welcome and was a liability to the NRA. No matter what he said or did, he was little more than a cartoon caricature to the public, with utterly zero credibility. The "elephant hunt" video on YouTube didn't help, either. That was so ridic...

The CGI Ukraine Action Network is the result of a collaboration between Hillary Clinton and Olena Zelenska, first lady of Ukraine, Arrrgghhh, just more grift. Zelenska doesn't give a flip about Ukraine, she's too busy going shopping with Kate Middleton. Keeps her busy so her billionaire husband can...

Re: FL: Husband shoots robber inside house beating his wife.
Holy crap. This is a good example of the kind of lunatics running around loose out there. This guy smashes a front door window with a rock at 3 a.m. and starts beating up this guy's wife, gets shot in the shoulder and takes off running..... straight to another house and attempts to break in there, t...

Re: Deputy Shot - Return 12 Rounds of Fire
If you feel he is still a threat and is running toward others, etc, then you have the legal justification to use force, including deadly force, to stop him You would have to be very, very, very, very careful, because you'd have to convince a jury that such was the case. I can see, for example, shoo...

Re: Deputy Shot - Return 12 Rounds of Fire
My CHL instructor cited many instances where this happened - LEOs emptying their magazines point blank and missing every shot. Happens all the time. I think a LOT of people out there have utterly no clue what it's like to be in this situation. You can't see, you can't think, you can't move, you can'...

I'm good with that shoot, but I've often wondered about the legality of "holding somebody at gunpoint" like that, if he tries to leave. So the perp says "OK, OK, I'll leave...." and starts to leave, so you shoot him....? I'm wondering if a prosecutor could go to town with that.

I would likely think him a bigger hero if he tried to help me without the gun. Well, yeah... I'd think of him as a bigger hero if he tried to help you blindfolded with both hands tied behind his back, while whistling "Stars and Stripes Forever" backwards. And think, these people are regis...

It's dismaying that people like her, AOC, Tlaib, et. al. can get elected and re-elected in this country.

If you wear glasses, especially with a relatively strong prescription and some astigmatism, the lens can also "smear" the red dot.

Re: WSJ: Disaster preparedness on the increase
We're not hardcore preppers per se, but over the past year or so the subject comes up of just being more prepared for whatever might happen. I guess the triggering event was the big freeze in February 2021. We had no water (water well was frozen) and electricity was on and off for several days. We'v...

What are some good refutations of this last paragraph?
"The Golden State is ranked #1 for gun safety and last year experienced a death rate 43% lower than the national average. Over the last decade, gun laws helped save 19,000 Californians. "

We get our regular inspections at a little backyard garage down the road. $7.50. I was wondering, where does that $7.50 go? Does he get a certain percent, and the rest to the state, or what?
