Re: Six Flags is history...

Now I wonder if they'll also remove the offending coffee mugs, refrigerator magnets, etc. in the Six Flags gift shops.

Six Flags is history...

Guess y'all heard what happened to Six Flags. One of the flags was a (gasp, shudder....) confederate flag. So they not only removed it, but removed all 5 of the others and replaced them with just 6 U.S. flags. So, no more "Six Flags Over Texas." Sigh.....

Re: What would you do

Then there's the nitpicking question of just WHEN you would intervene with deadly force. After he hit him one time? Two times? Two hits and a kick? Do it too early, and you're sticking your neck out legally. Do it too late and, well, it's too late. Myself..... defending myself or my family is one th...

Re: Seattle gun tax failure? Firearm sales plummet, violence spikes after law passes

When I was a kid 5 or 6 years old, we lived in the agricultural country near Modesto, CA. It was a beautiful place, with dairy cows and farms and flowers everywhere, and we loved going to Modesto. Now Modesto is a gang-infested sewer, one of the worst places in the country. Sad. Guess they need stri...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

Well, your LTC is quickly available on SOME database. About 2 years ago, my wife and I went to a U.S. Air Force base as visitors. When we were checking in at the front gate office, the guy behind the counter took my driver's license, typed something into a computer and immediately said, "he's g...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

I'd still like to know who killed 560. Who. Name, please. Not "somebody who talked to somebody..." Who. SOMEBODY's hands are bloody here. Whose?

Re: Sign to Support Property Tax Reform - Lt. Gov. Patrick

The fantasy that our taxes will somehow decrease is just that, a fantasy. The states, counties, and all the rest of the taxing entities will still get their quartof blood even if property taxes are decreased. Once they get their teeth in your leg they don't let go. My feeling as well. I suspect thi...

Re: Stovepiping on Colt Gov't 380

I assume these are top quality mags? If so, it's not recoiling with enough energy to feed the next round. 380s barely, barely have enough oomph to operate the slide. So something is bleeding off some of that oomph - the recoil spring needs something solid to "push against" when the gun fir...

Re: Sign to Support Property Tax Reform - Lt. Gov. Patrick

Just what "property tax relief" is being proposed? Counties use property taxes like an ATM. It's nuts. I put up a little carport to park my tractor under: pow, here comes the county making me pay annual property taxes on it. We also pay "double taxes." We live in one county and p...

Re: When will the dust settle?

Did the knife bill that got rid of the 5.5" rule pass? That was HB 1935. From the web site above: " This legislation repeals the prohibition on the possession or carrying of knives such as daggers, dirks, stilettos and Bowies, by eliminating them from the prohibited weapons section of the...

Re: Size VS Capacity

It's really hard to compare calibers any more, with specialty companies making all kinds of ammunition. The standard, plain vanilla .45 ammo, for example, has about 350 ft. lbs. of energy with a muzzle velocity of about 830 fps. Buffalo Bore's 9mm +P+ has 500 ft. lbs. at 1400 fps., which approaches ...

Can 560 be resurrected?

Is there any... any path in which 560 could be resurrected, should a special session be called?
