Re: Woodbury outfitters

Only had one experience with WO and it was not good. I ordered something over two weeks in advance of a trip I was about to go on. My order was supposed to be in stock and delivered within seven days. The items did not make it to me till the day after I returned. When I tried to send them back becau...

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?

I've seen them on sale a few times. I think Bud's had one for around $300. They are readily available on Gunbroker used for around $250 depending on your timing. I'm not sure if they are all threaded but I know some are.

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?

TAM, Since I gather from your posts you are a refined gentleman I would not be surprised to know that “carry gun-like” for you included 1911’s so don’t forget about all the 22 conversion options out there. As far as other alternatives go… I had the original M&P 22 and I liked it and it felt an a...

Re: Walther PPQ

I've not shot the PPQ but I've read lots of good things about it. That's not surprising to me as I currently have a PPS. I've also owned a CCP and a P99 in the past. They have all been great shooting, reliable guns. I've also had one experience with their customer service and it was top notch as wel...

Re: Another fix for my addiction.

Ah yes, we all have that itch we have to scratch. I had one of these many years ago but it seemed to be picky about ammo so I ended up getting rid of it. I do like the idea of a compact takedown though so a while back I picked up an old Marlin Papoose. It's a little rough around the edges but it's v...

Re: Which gun is it for you?

Like many of the posts here, the gun I’m most attached to is not due to performance but rather an emotional connection. My Dad was never a hunter or much of a shooter but he grew up on a farm and wanted me to know how to handle a firearm. When I was little he would borrow the neighbor’s 22 from acro...

Re: Does This AR Custom Build Look Okay?

If you're inclined to go low budget, there is no shortage of available options out there to consider. CDNN has the following in stock: Diamondback DB-15 for $399 Del-Ton Echo with a SOPMOD stock for $439 Ruger M&P Sport II for $499 All with free shipping and lifetime warranties. Good luck and le...

Re: EAA SAR B6p 9mm

I think you did well and these guns are underrated IMHO. I had one a while back and it shot well. I bought it new and after 200 rounds had ZERO failures of any kind. I liked it so much that I sold it to buy an EAA Witness (basically the same gun) but it had a rail. I put a cheap but reliable light o...

Re: Wife wants a new falling plate pistol

Plus 1 on TAM's recommendation! Unless she needs more capacity, a 1911 in 9mm is a great option. Maybe a little heavy but with a longer barrel and sight radius for accuracy along with an enjoyable 1911 trigger (better trigger than the others mentioned here) this would be a sweet choice.

Wow! This guy's mental state seems so fragile he should probably destroy all his firearms and leave the home defense chores to a slingshot or good dog. I was ok with him crushing the tiny California mag.
