Re: Appendix IWB carry--or not?

I have used an Alessi APX for my S&W 642 for several years. It's very comfortable and conceals well. I'm on the thin side which helps :-) It apparently is available for quite a few different handguns. Here's the URL: http://www.alessigunholsters.com/apx-1/ I also have two other Alessi holsters a...

Re: Illinois apparently to allow non-resident CCW licenses

Here is a breakdown of the Illinois Concealed Carry Law by Senator Barickman http://senatorbarickman.com/Portals/9/Senator%20Jason%20Barickman%20Concealed%20Carry%20Guide.pdf The no reciprocity info and allowed carry methods by a non-resident CHL holder is on page 7 So, this means you can carry in ...

Thanks!

The web site says retired. No discount for me serving 8 years.

All I had to do was show a copy of my DD214. That was purchasing a SIG 938. Conditions might be different for Glock sales.

Re: Recommendation for IWB holster for P938?

I have an Alessi Talon Plus holster for my P938. Alessi makes a quality product, but I did have to wait a couple of months for it. Wait times may have changed. I also have a Sticky that works well in pocket or IWB (1-2 o clock).

Re: automotive experts?

Choice of tires and tire air pressure will make a significant difference. Car dealers and tire stores typically air tires up to the maximum load pressure instead of the usually lower pressures needed for "light" loads such as just the driver and one passenger. For example, my car had 2 yea...

Re: Does anyone carry a Sig P938?

I totally agree. I'm an older guy and the 938 is the easiest 9mm to rack the slide. Recoil is less than most. It fits my smaller hands. And it conceals well AIWB. In comparison, I had a Kahr CM9 which is about the same size.....it was hard to rack and had much sharper recoil. The 938 sights are very...

Re: Pellet Pistol

I used to have a Benjamin pump pellet pistol kind of like this one - http://www.crosman.com/airguns/pistols/HB22 - except mine was in .17 caliber. It wasn't a single pump stroke, but the upside was that you could regulate how much velocity you wanted by how many pump strokes you used to charge the ...

Re: As if choosing a holster wasnt hard enough...

I've been using an Alessi APX for my Smith 642 and I'm waiting for another APX for my Sig 938. It is for appendix carry and does NOT require a belt....in fact when I'm wearing a belt, the clip goes under the belt. It's made of very thin leather and the clip is offset so as to minimize the thickness...

Re: Walther PK380 and Glock 42

If you will consider a 9mm, I would suggest you check out the Sig P938. I have a Rosewood model with both 6 and 7 round magazines. It is very easy to rack the slide.....easiest of any 9's I've tried. The recoil is relatively soft too. It fits my hand great and has very good night sights. I carry it ...

Re: S&W 60 38 Special (BUG)

I have a later .357 caliber Model 60 snubby. It is a very nice shooting and carrying revolver. Amazing single action trigger that is also quite nice in double action.

GLWS!!

Re: Looking for a small 9mm

I have owned a Kahr CM9, and now have a SIG 938. The Kahr is probably more concealable (though not by much), but is DAO and has snappy recoil and stiff spring for slide racking. The SIG feels better in my hand, noticeably softer recoil, easier slide to rack. I'm an older guy so recoil and racking ar...
