Re: Texas AG Ken Paxton impeachment

What are the odds they knew this going in and wanted to make a statement of approval to get the question out of the way? And or to draw out the traitors? Well, if that was the plan, it worked for me. My senator is Kelly Hancock. I always thought he was a bona fide conservative. Now I know he's not....

Re: Liberty Safe backdoor access

I have a Sports Afield safe that I bought from Academy about a year ago. I don't know for sure, but I think it's made by Liberty. My safe comes with two physical keys that can be used to open it if you forget the combination. There are procedures to follow to get a new physical key if you ever lose ...

Re: National parks?

Thanks for the feedback. I found this statement on the Yellowstone National Park "Laws and Policies" page https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/management/lawsandpolicies.htm Firearms should not be considered a wildlife protection strategy. Bear spray and other safety precautions are the proven m...

National parks?

My wife and I went through Big Bend in 2012. Before going, I checked the rules and noted that carry was allowed consistent with State rules, but firearms were not allowed in any of the park's buildings. I elected to carry my .357 revolver consistent with the rules and intending to use it if necessar...

Re: Gun and ammo deflation suggests now is a good time to take advantage of sales

Did a limited search on Ammo Seek and gun-deals and Wiki Arms. There were some reman 9mm for as low as 18.5¢ per round on the Ammo seek site. Cheapest new ammo on Ammo Seek was PMC Bronze $9.99/bx of 50. Wiki Arms has a Speer TMJ 115gr $13.99/bx of 100 or 14¢ per round. No idea what the shipping co...

Re: Texas AG Ken Paxton impeachment

Karma needs to give a full load high pressure dump on that trash Phelan. I'm donating money to anyone running against him next time. Where can we see the vote on this to see how ours voted? https://www.texastribune.org/2023/05/27/ken-paxton-texas-house-impeachment-vote/ I'm in District 91, and Step...

Re: Volleyball at Kay Bailey Hutchinson

Not posted last time I was there several years ago. Not listed in texas3006.com at all... And from their website... https://www.dallasconventioncenter.com/about-us/faq What is your handgun policy? The KBHCCD follows all applicable state and local laws regarding weapons in the facility. Thank you! W...

Volleyball at Kay Bailey Hutchinson

This weekend, the Lone Star Classic volleyball tournament will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. I've read reports here that the convention center is not posted. The volleyball tournament involves school-age girls, but it's not a school event (it's a "club" event). I'...

Re: Credit Card Processors to use newly created Gun Store Transaction Code

How about using the credit card to buy a "gift card", and use the "gift card" to buy the gun? Great Idea, but I assume if you buy a Carter's Country Gift Card it would show up on the radar, so just buy Amex, Mastercard, Visa, etc generic gift cards. That's what I'm going to do. ...

Re: Marjorie Taylor Greene

iPhone has a setting that will only ring calls from your directory. Calls not in your directory, go directly to voice mail. Most don’t leave messages. Some that do say only Hello, Hello, Hello and then end the call. There are apps available in the Google Play Store that work the same way on Android...

Excuse me for stepping into this conversation, but I've been intrigued the the Bitcoin concept for awhile, and it seems like there are a couple folks here who know a lot more about it than I do, so I thought I'd test my understanding. My points have nothing to do with Alyssa Milano, so apologies if ...

Re: SPAM text message stopper APP or something

I use the Android messaging app and turn on spam protection. Whenever I get a text message from someone not in my contacts, I have the option of marking it as "spam" and blocking the number or adding the name to my contacts. Offending spammers will change their number but I found if I keep...

I've voted against Cornyn in both of the last two primaries and I've sent him at least two messages expressing my displeasure at his actions. He doesn't respond and he always wins the primary elections.

Re: Electricity Providers

I'm curious: If you have Griddy, does Oncor (or its equivalent) still have the option to cut your power, even though you're willing to pay spot prices for power? I ask this as a Direct Energy (and Oncor) customer who has been without power for over 50 hours and counting. Yes, who generates your pow...

Re: Stay Warm and Safe the Next Few Days

We lost power at 02:05 Monday and were without for almost 76 hours straight. Well here I was thinking we had lost power longer than anyone in Texas -- from 8:00 Monday morning until 11:00 Thursday morning, 75 hours. You were out an hour longer than we were. We spent two nights in area hotels and on...
