Re: Tell us your opinions and experiences

A second story, to follow on the one above. This one doesn't really fall into the category of women being harassed or intimidated, but it still follows my earlier example of how men occasionally (and most incorrectly) assume the fairer sex is less knowledgeable about guns. My daughter (6 years old a...

Re: Tell us your opinions and experiences

Harassed? No, not that I know of - but some assumptions were made about my wife in a gun store more than once. The most recent one: just before Christmas, she was visiting our favorite LGS to find out if I'd been looking at anything in particular. The owner pulled down a home defense shotgun that I'...

Re: HB1911: Rep. White's Press Release

Yeah, if I had my choice in the matter, '06 would change to apply only to unlicensed CC, and '07 would change to apply only to unlicensed OC. And then no sign would have the force of law for LTC holders. :evil2:

But I don't always get my way...

Re: Green/Red chamber

I have been carrying green, or with an empty chamber for the non military folks. Is this smart/safe? Should i carry red, locked and loaded? Glock 23, CC holster that covers the trigger. Also, if 30.06/30.07 signs are posted, the firearm stays in the vehcile. Is it smart to leave it locked and loade...

Re: Lent

Our daughter is prepping for her first communion this year. As any Catholic can attest, none of the sacraments are of the "Hey, let's just go do that today" kind of variety. There is plenty of coursework, homework, and one-on-one mentoring required, and she's knee-deep in it right now. So,...

I'm not a kilt aficionado, but I'd think that a Crossbreed with the Utiliclip would hold well, especially if you don't have a gun belt to clip on to.

Yeah, I tend to agree with your wife on this one. But next month...we look forward to seeing you!

That was tons of fun! Looking forward to the next one! Great meeting everybody, especially Vol Texan! He's my first texas3006 volunteer I've met in person! Russell, it was great to meet you as well. I was surprised to learn that you'd never met anyone else on your team - not the app developers, or ...

It was a great time at breakfast this morning. Attendance doubled from our first meetup, and there was lots of good fellowship.

I look forward to next month.

Re: SB 1106

I'm no lawyer, so what I'm about to write is a layman's guess. I'm sure one of the legal minds here can clarify. According to this site ( https://www.goldsteinhilley.com/texas-criminal-laws/criminal-trespass/ ), the criminal trespass is usually a Class B. It is elevated to Class A if the person is c...

Re: Wife in the process

My wife has finally started the process of getting her LTC. She submitted her application today. Fingerprints are scheduled for Monday and her class is on the 25th. She's also started shopping for a holster. Hopefully in a short time there will be another member to the community. Excellent! My wife...
