Re: AMENDMENT TWO: A LEGAL IMMIGRANT’S CAUTIONARY TALE

Some of my favorite Americans are people who were born elsewhere... :patriot: Some of our best Citizens are those who came here legally and became naturalized citizens. I have been lucky enough to meet several. :patriot: Of the millions of Americans out there, my absolute favorite of them all was n...

Remington 870 w/detachable magazine

So Mrs. VolTexan wants a “Mother’s Day shotgun” as her gift this year. I’ve long been a pistol and rifle shooter, and admit to not knowing enough about shotguns to make an informed decision on a home-defense shotgun, so I’m turning to the most reliable source on firearms knowledge available: YOU! I ...

Three shot breaking into LGS

This is not far from my home - I sometimes use this range to qualify my LTC students. Not the fanciest range on the block, but a good group of folks work here. For the second time in 24 hours, a gun store in west Houston has been the target of an attempted burglary, but this time the suspects were s...

Re: 2018 LTC Instructor class waiting time

I applied in Mar 2017. Class was in Dec 2017.

But... there were lots of new regs to incorporate, possibly, so they may have deferred the classes for a while in 2017.

The only man who actually gave Chuck Norris a shiver in his spine was Gunnery Sergeant Hartman.

RIP to one of the great ones. You shall be missed.

Re: New to Texas: Does This Sign Hold Legal Power?

According to the Texas3006.com website and app, a user has reported that they have a valid 3006 sign, but they have not posted a photo. Please feel free to download the free app, and sign up for an account. You can then look up the Kiddie Park entry and post the photo you took. I, or one of the othe...

Two-Tiered pricing?

I was thinking today - I believe I'm going to implement a two-tiered pricing structure for LTC courses. ⋅  NRA members will pay x ⋅ non-NRA members will pay x + $40 (the full price cost for a one-year membership) ⋅ non-NRA members who want to join will pay x + $20 (I'll...

Re: Cheap ranges to shoot at?

Congrats on passing the class (and a belated welcome to the forum). Out here in west Houston and Katy, you'll find some good deals at Boyert Shooting Center. ⋅ Veterans and retired police are always half off - if you fit in that category you'll save a ton. ⋅ Seniors half off from...

Re: Texas Carry Executive Director sued for filing signage complaint against Waller County

Just wanted to bump this back up with some fantastic news! Holcomb won on appeal, and Waller County's lawsuit against him for daring to complain about their signage was dismissed! The lawsuit the AG has open against Waller County for their signage will now go forward. Opinion: https://drive.google....
