Re: Here's a different over/under shotgun (or rifle)

Re: Please Recommend Eye Protection

I am a strong proponent of ESS eyewear. They are slowly edging wileyX out of the .mil market, and are more reasonably priced. I cheat, and buy them from federal surplus - Just bought 36 pair to outfit our VFD, and another dozen for the city just because. I like the crossbow for EDC and the suppresso...

Re: Holster for ccw in a kilt

It also depends on the kilt.
I use strong side iwb with a utilikilt, not sire jow it would work with a traditional. Utilikilt has fairly standard belt loops, as well as large pockets.

Re: What Distance Qualifies as "Long Range"?

Ballistics is an amalgamation of white amd black magik, science and, balderdash. I love it. I shot short course nbrsa for years, similar voodoo - different goal. Now i am playing with distance and the one constant i have proven is nothing is ever the same, tjere are no constants. Just like Tams data...

Re: SA Pistol Trigger Pound Pull

Rock island, kimber, STI, Sig, and many others make 1911s both single and double stack versions in .40.

I have had a few tuned up da/sa amd striker guns - but even on their best days, a 1911 system still walls all over them in the trigger department.

Re: Alien cross gear

Im glad im not the only one.
I have metal clips on my alien gear, and while sliding off the back of a tanker truck - caught one of the clips on something and bent it up.
Got home and swapped the clips with a semi-retired CB supertuck.
It works.

Re: Grand Prairie PD to being using "Less Lethal" shotguns and ammo

Lots to criticize, but what gets me is the "less than lethal" - its "less lethal".
Leass THAN lethal implies not lethal, and we all know thats inaccurate, less lethal means its not as likely to kill - but does not remove the possibility.
False advertising/poor reporting.

Re: Fun, but disappointing day at the range.

Tapping is usually done lightly on orbbear the turret. With many of the older scopes there was a certain, very small, amount of lash in the adjustment. Couple that woth the heavy grease used and you could easily be off half a click or more from the stop detent which would then self correct under rec...
