Re: Legislation Scheduling?

Bringing this back up, is it just me or are we off to an even slower start than usual?
Almost 2 months in and many committees with tons of bills pending have not even met yet.

Re: Have you ever seen...

Once - sort of. No one actually saw it, so there is much supposition. My grandfather had several smaller gun cabinets, that had started life as school lockers. After he passed, most of these remained untouched - grandmother didn't want anything changed or moved, and wouldn't allow anyone in his seat...

Re: Property in and out of city

I am in a very similar position. I have several acres with "city frontage". From a purely legal standpoint, my driveway and most of my front yard ate within the city. My house and everything behind are county, I have marked the line based pn the annexation documents on file in my office. F...

And just fyi
A 180 grain lswc from a 7 inch amt longslide with a roland barrel will go through both shoulders and everything in between on a 8 point nontypical buck at 59 yards.

Re: .45 ACP to .460 Roland pressures?

I would not encourage it, and from a pure liability standpoint suggest you work up very carefully following professional load data and all safe reloading practices. Remington LP brass can not handle it, sp is stronger. Starline 45acp +p brass and Starline 460R brass are identical in web and head - o...

Re: Age At Class Time

Absolutely.
The highlight of my 21st birthday was waking up early enough to get to the post office before work. Was many moons ago and many of my contemporaries were disappointed, apparently thats not how 21 is supposed to work? :confused5 :confused5 :cheers2:

Re: Battle rifle???? Really?

My HK's are not battle rifles, as a battle has 2 outcomes - Victory or Defeat.
Mine are Seigwafers - WIN launchers

Re: Need help - our new employee got arrested a week ago

While you can terminate an employee at any time, I agree with many of the above - arrest is not conviction. For me, it depends on both the nature of the position and the company policy. My policy is extremely specific, any arrest or criminal allegations must be reported immediately. It is then up to...

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9

I have replaced the sights on both my xd45 tactical and my xds. The sights seem to be installed cryogenicly, and are very useful if you like to break tools. Since I had absolutely no intention of re using the sights i simply used a cut-off wheel in a dremel to take a slice across them, then a few li...

Re: Found a weigh to keep my resolution!

Its amazing how it sneaks up on us. Im not exactly sure when I switched from iwb to owb full time, but it wasn't really a conscious decision. Switching back however WAS deliberate- and has taken effort. But 54 lbs in 4 months so far - living proof it can be done. At 75 Im placing an order for an and...

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/12/24/webster-new-york-firefighter-shot/1788917/ This is one of the most recent ones to hit the national news. I'm sure there have been others, but this one stood out to me. Just one of many. I know first hand several metro area fire and ambulance serv...

Re: HB56. Who does it apply too?

Fire Marshalls and investigators are not the ones putting on bunker gear dragging hoses into burning buildings either. I wouldn't want to expose live ammo to extreme heat. If I had go go into a fire I would dump my firearm and extra mags before doing so. I would think that to be enough hot to cook ...
