Re: Sponge-Inspired XSTAT Device Quickly Seals Gunshot Wounds

As far as legality, I believe I see the confusion/miscommunication. As an emt I am protected under the same good Samaritan laws as anyone else provided I only perform activities that fall within my scope. A paramedic is protected under the same rules provided they operate within their scope, the sam...

Re: Employers that allow their employees to carry

Our city does not have a written policy, it is however informally encouraged for all.
I do however pay/reimburse all "beneficial state and professional licensing costs" , I had an employee ask about LTC renewal costs...told him to bring me the receipt.

Osborne holsters?

Any one have any input on Osborne holsters? Texas based company with fair prices. Just pulled the trigger on one of their IWB- 50 bucks with the FF discount for a hybrid iwb WITH light is outstanding. Moost places seem to tack on another 20+ for a light option, and then they don't have the lighht I ...

Re: roll pin punch

I consider punches consumable, particularly in the smaller sizes. Get a couple sets at harbor freight, spe d good money on quality drivers and hex keys for guns - wheeler, Klein or Wiha.

Re: Finally found an unfun handgun.

Took it to a friends saturday, we put a box of 158 wwb mags through it and a few boxes of various 38 specials betwixt his lcr and mine. After a few cylinders full its not so bad...the numbness allowed for a much steadier grip. Ill be sticking with the 125 critical defense for carry. BTW - I now have...

Re: wheelchair for a large dog - or any help / advice

Pretty sure I have shared these before, but again... These are framed on my desk, along with pictures of my people kids and fur kids. Family is family, species doesn't mean much. A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he w...

Finally found an unfun handgun.

Once upon a time I was afflicted with magnum mania, 454 casull, 480 river, 475 Wildey, and more. I loved every one of them, then got into XP100's and savage strikers in 308, 243, 338-08, etc...all of them were cherished and shot hundreds if not thousands of rounds BUT today I have met my match with ...

Re: Age old debate: LTC Badges

I have a very nice badge, has the city seal and my name on it - says code enforcement officer in nice black lettering. I make it a point to wear it on my Left side- opposite my weapon which is typically concealed to avoid even the appearance of impersonation. I also have a fire dept badge, goes on a...

Re: My Wife Now Has PTSD

That's always the right answer. My wife loves to shoot handguns, not so much rifles - she has HER ar (sig m400) that no one else is allowed to look at for more than a few seconds. She joins me on the rifle range at least once a year where she dumps 1 mag into a playing card on the 100 yard board and...

Re: Enterprise Car Rental Drops the NRA

So if FNBO is no longer supporting NRA, what does that do for the NRA visa? That is one of only two credit cards I maintain - do they continue using the NRA logo?
Ill be looking into another line of credit elsewhere, just curious how that works?
