Re: Part Time LEOs cannot work off duty jobs.
Just my .02 I don't mind if reserves or part time officers work part time security as long as the full time officers have had a chance at that job first. I don't mind if reserves, retired, or active cops work as a security guard off duty as long as they wear a security guard uniform, drive security...

Re: Coming to the border near you! Texas
Why do you think they're not here already? During the Cold War our enemies had sleeper cells prepared inside The United States and waiting for the right time to strike. The 9/11 attackers trained and prepared inside The United States before their attack. Only a fool would think they're not here alr...

Re: Armed Faculty
The only chance school staff has of carrying is to work for a small ISD who cannot afford to hire armed guards or police. The bigger schools who can afford to will hire police who have power of arrest everytime. Ive been working in the school system for nearly 10yrs and Im also a commissioned LEO. ...

Re: Another mass shooting in Las Vegas
Now, I've tried and tried to not buy into any of the worst conspiracy theories I've seen bounced around after some of these shooting incidents...but this thing seems tailor-made for Bloomberg and the other antis. We've got "white supremacist", a Gadsden "Don't tread on me" flag,...

"Plebs" as an insult.
Although it's especially entertaining when the dimwit drops the "s" because they don't know plebs is singular.

"Assault Rifle" when talking about a aemi-auto. Either it's an intentional lie or the speaker is dimmer than a dead firefly.

Re: Girl Shot at Yellowstone
A U.S. law that took effect in 2010 allowed people to carry guns into national parks as long as federal, state and local firearms laws were met, according to the National Park Service. What was that statement all about? It didn’t say if the firearm was legally in the park or not. Maybe they're tryi...

Maybe but I think it's more scientific to compare statistics for stolen vehicle recovery in Texas versus states without front plates like Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma.texanjoker wrote:Having worked a lot of auto theft details, I can say that front plates are helpful in the recovery of stolen cars.

Isn't that what a Texas CHL does?VoiceofReason wrote:This amounts to, requiring permission from the government to exercise a constitutional right. It also allows the city or state to maintain a list of citizens that own firearms. In some cases even the types of guns owned.

Another option is to call 911 to report the hysterical person who is yelling about a gun. Who knows what they might do?
