Flooded Press

I reached out to Hornady last week about my Father in Laws press that was damaged due to the Flood last Summer. If we would have immediately cleaned and lubricated it I doubt it would have had any issues, but the reloading equipment took a back seat to all of the housing damage. Hornady replied that...

Re: Carry Guard Level 1 recommendations

Not sure if class is worth it or not but a DTI Farnam 2 day defensive pistol class runs $650.. and a Ayoob MAG 40 class is 800.
The Farnam class was worth it and I have heard the MAG 40 class is as well. Of course these men are the apex of their craft.

Re: NRA Disinvites US Concealed Carry Association

It is just disappointing to me. If the NRA has a similar product then compete for the business. The NRA members can make an informed decision . If the NRA cant compete then they probably shouldn't be in that market. We Finally have a chance to really move the football forward and we are doing supid ...

NRA Disinvites US Concealed Carry Association

Mr. Cotton, Can you shed some light on this. Kinda seems like we are eating our own. Sadly I have recently learned that Buddy has passed away. I was told that his cancer returned. He was a great Guy and my little town will miss him and his business. It is now a flower shop.

Re: IDPA 2017 Rulebook dramatically changes BUG size/weight limits

I think they are drawing a distinction between a compact carry gun like my Kahr CW9 and a Back Up Gun BUG to encourage the use of truly small guns in this division. They do seem to change rule from time to time like when they allowed Springfield XD to compete with Glocks and M&Ps. Any rule that ...

Re: scope recommendation - Elk hunting

Not sure where you are planning on hunting but when I went Elk hunting it was in rough country that didn't allow mechanized transportation, ( not that it would help much) We packed in on horses with mules an walked everywhere from there. Scopes that have minimum magnifications of 3.5 or 4 are larger...

Re: WTS Kahr P9 w/ stainless slide

The reason for the slow sell is because Kahr makes a less full featured model called the CW9 that is selling for over a hundred dollars less than your asking price online with free shipping. Sure your model is better but people see a new unit almost as nice for a C note less and buy the CW model. xr...

Re: Hats Off to The Arms Room

The facility is large, there are lots of folks to help out, and it looked like a really well-run place. To be honest, it looked like it could have been a big-box store, but it had a small store customer service feel to it. Funny that you mentioned this. The arms room was previously located in a muc...

Re: 38 Super Ammo +P Ammo

The 38 super is an over pressure version of the old 38 auto ctg. it was created to give law enforcement a better possibility to penetrate car bodies & body armor during the late 1920s. It is longer than a 9mm luger and holds more powder. 38 supers have a small semi rim that early guns were repor...

Re: Shotgun for daughter

Right2carry is correct that a gas operated 20 gauge will recoil less than a fixed action model, but in my experience it is never close to the low recoil of the 2 1/2 inch .410 Just a side note the 410 is not a gauge I think it is more the caliber in inches like a .41 caliber . Gauges can be calculat...
