Re: Ever Used Glow-On Paint To Brighten Iron Sights?

On a couple of my gun the tritium doesn't work anymore. So I have painted the old tritium circle red and the rest of the post white. I have tried other colors but that what just seems to make it real easy to pick up the front sight.

Re: Minnesota LTCer Shoots Motorist After Car Accident

A punch doesn't need to be thrown to justify acting in self defense.

However from the pictures, I don't see a disparity of force argument working. And simply daring someone to shoot doesn't justify shooting.

It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

I voted for Trump albeit with great misgivings. I am however still very happy with that vote. Hilary still isn't president and we have gotten some very good Federal judges.

But there are times, Trump talks and tweets too much. He is continually stepping on his own good news. Drives me crazy.

Re: Hawaii: False alarm on missile strike was Trumps's fault

This is typical Hawaii. I used to have to work with Hawaiians regularly. They were generally good to work with, but anytime they screwed up, they immediately managed to blame the mainland for it. I had a job opportunity out there once but turned it down in part because of that attitude.

Re: Advice from seasoned travelers

I have flown in and out of Ontario a fair amount. I liked it better than any other LA airport. That said, it has been years since I have been to California.

Re: MI:Former Marine charged with assault with attempt to murder after defending his family

None of this makes sense. Having said that 35 years ago when I was in law school I clerked for a local firm part time for a year. We had a case of excessive force by one of the local PDs. While our client may have deserved some rough treatment, (he talked back, to put it mildly, to the arresting off...

Re: Pulled over for speeding - you won't believe what happened next!

I have been pulled over a couple times by State Troopers. (I inherited a bit of a lead foot from my Mom! I try to control it but every once in a while it gets away from me.) Both times the troopers were great. Once one asked me to get out of the car but then we had a good conversation off the road w...

Re: Grey man AR pistol bag?

For my 300 blackout pistol, I have a 5.11 Covert Shorty backpack that doesn't look very tactical. I can't figure out how to paste a picture but here is a link: https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwj4l6av2tXYAhXEYX4KHXZTAMsYABABGgJwYw&sig=AOD64_35MuC4pFZJpzaQIJz2suhzSZlSDw&ctype=5&a...

One of our deacons also went to the seminar. He found it very helpful. If you have chance, you should go.

I don't know which is worse - this guy or a guy my daughter told me about in North Carolina who tried to get away from the police by swimming in the ocean. The shoreline chase stopped when he was bitten by a shark!

11:44 pm and he agreed to give them a ride. WOW. Talk about condition white.

On the other hand, he probably wisely decided not to draw on the guy holding the gun and was let go with his life.

Not great performance but at least he lived!

Re: Crossfire Defense Academy - Flower Mound - Highly Recommend

I shot there about two weeks ago on the Dynamics range. It is probably the safest range I have ever seen from several perspectives. First, its air system is exceptional at removing all air pollutants from the air on the ranges. Second the stalls are built with AR resistant steel between every stall ...

Re: Ever Shoot with No Ear Protection for Training?

When I was growing up nobody even thought about ear protection. So I shot a lot of .22 and shotgun and some 30.06 without ear protection. My hearing doesn't seem to be any worse for it but maybe that's because I have always had a problem with excess wax in my ears! Maybe the was acted like ear plugs.

Re: Bottom Handguns!

FIE 22 revolver. I bought it cheap to see what it was like to shoot a 22 single action revolver. At that time, it was so leaded up the the pattern from 7 yards looked like a shotgun at 50 yards. With a lot of work, I got the lead out. Now at 7 yards it shoots about a foot to the right and 6-8 inches...

Re: Retired military commanders urge Congress to address 'gun violence crisis'

These are the the same guys who won't allow their men to have weapons on base leading to atrocities like Fort Hood. These guys should have no credibility on 2nd Amendment issues.
