Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Perhaps we can move Houston to Illinois and merge it with Chicago.
Trump speech was a knockout.

Did they let you dryfire it? Sounds like you got a great deal though.

Re: Oscars

Haven't watched any of those self-serving award shows in years. Every year we have the People's Choice Awards, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, the Teen Choice Awards, the Golden Globes, the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, the Tony Awards, the Emmy Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Acad...

Re: A True Accidental Shooting

Much more than I learned in Boy Scouts. I also learned that one needs to be sure they don't get a Chinese counterfeit when buying a tourniquet, especially on Amazon. And to get the latest version. Not easy to be sure.

Re: A True Accidental Shooting

Comments that I can think of, this is one time that being a big girl saved her life. Skinny girl might have bled out even with a tourniquet. Location above the knee arterial bleed would likely have been fatal especially in time span it took to get to the hospital. Below knee at least gave her a chan...

Re: Helihog Hunts Recamendation

My name is rotor for a reason. You can at least double the figures from Robinson on cost per hour. I used to own an R22, completely non-commercial use. Insurance alone was $10,000 a year with a $10,000 deductible on a craft that at that time cost $100,000. I don't know how any company can make money...

Re: Armed and Anxious

What bothers me is the narrative that a racist is in the White House which is not true now. If whites had said Obama was a racist they would have been castigated. In general though if you neglect the political bias guns to protect our families is good and not bad. Black ants go to war against red an...

Re: What is Reliable Enough?

Gun-Test.com tested the P938 Extreme and gave it a D rating. One of the problems was a broken extractor. Mar 2013 issue. Why not send it to Sig?

Re: I took the plunge. Edit: now I need magazine help.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why a 1911 is supposed to have problems right out of the box and the new owner is supposed to fix the problem and not the manufacturer. The gun is under warranty. Call Rem9ington and let them fix it. There are always 1911 posts with the same advice, give it more rou...

Re: I took the plunge. Edit: now I need magazine help.

I took the plunge too mainly because of this group and I really like my Ruger SR1911 and have never had one failure to feed or extract and I use the Ruger mags. I researched the Remington when I was shopping and it got very high ratings but I couldn't find a local store with one in stock. What bothe...

Re: 60 minutes

Is this a 'new' video about the Remington's 700 ? Or the same old 60 minutes episode ? Because I feel like the response video debunked 60 Minutes video was done quite effectively. So far, no one has brought forth a Remington 700 that is still factory settings (unmodified) that goes off by any means...

Re: 60 minutes

I guess I am just dumb. When I was taught to fire a weapon the first rule is treat every weapon as it is loaded. Never have the barrel pointed in any direction where it can cause any type of harm or death. How can they hold the builder liable for there own negligence? If the builder builds a defect...

Re: WTB Judge or Governor

Here is my suggestion. Buy the new Colt Cobra and some CCI 38 special snake loads. I load my own in 38 special with #9 shot. I use a Ruger LCR but would have bought a Cobra had they been available. Judge and Governor are big, the 410 is unbelievably loud in a revolver. Nice thing about the Governor ...

Re: WTB Judge or Governor

Unless you have time to put hearing protection on you will be deaf shooting one of these with a shotshell. I have a Governor. I will throw the gun at a snake before shooting it without muffs.
