Re: Straw Man Query

As I understand it, the Straw Man law is where Person A gets Person B to purchase a firearm for them because Person A is no longer eligible to purchase a firearm. Then, Person B "sells" that firearm to Person A. Here's the situation. I've got a friend who is eligible to purchase a firearm...

Re: LTC renewal, come on DPS.......!

Your daughter really needs to be the one calling and I don't think a renewal takes even 3 weeks now. What I also suggest is for your daughter to sign up for a service USPS offers where they send you an email with a scanned image of all of your first class mail coming each day. So if you see somethin...

Re: Mission Behind Enemy Lines

East LA is known as The Bario and I hope you are not going to be there. I lived in LA in the 60's and it was nice then. Reagan was Governor, had some wonderful gun shops and laws were nothing like now. I went to college in LA. Those days are gone and I hate going to California for anything even thou...

Re: Inverter Generator vs Combustion engine

Honda inverter for 7000w costs about $4,000 and that is only 7000 starting, 5500 running. I got a regular generator at Sams and it has a Honda engine, electric and pull start option. Works good. Came with a wheel kit. I think it was $800. I don't care if it's noisy as it is outside when it's running...

Re: U.S. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl freed in Afghanistan

I wonder if anyone has ever translated the speech his father gave when he stood next to Obama. I guess it was Arabic but I have never seen a translation and have always wondered about it. I believe Bergdahl is a traitor but why has this taken so long?

Re: Clearing Overgrown Land

As I said, I don't have the trespass problem you have but I have the place fenced and posted. I personally would not put spike strips down as that sounds like a good way to get sued when someone gets hurt. Might be a good way to flush them out, they trespassed, and are admitting to it so then, you ...

Re: Clearing Overgrown Land

Craiglist usually has people with bulldozers, etc that can do this for you. Not necessarily cheap but it works. I hire a guy to spray my trails. I also use a DR 20hp tow behind mower and tow with a Polaris sportsman. We had the ATVs already and these mowers are brutes. You can see their stuff on the...

Re: Police in Denison said a restaurant employee refused to serve two Denison officers early Saturday morning.

There are several posts on this forum about Whataburger's stance on firearms and I wouldn't say they are gun friendly. They allow concealed carry but not open carry. I personally prefer a chain that follows state law like WalMart. Anyhow, we are DQ people. Haven't seen many negative DQ posts.

Re: Is the right to bear arms outdated?

In the end, they can pass all the laws they want, banning all the guns they want, and then eventually they have to come take them. :iagree: The logistics required to do that would make any government's head spin. Can you imagine being sent to disarm a populace that has more weapons than you? Yup, m...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Obama essentially on his own without congress made a "treaty" with Iran. Huh? What about UK, France, China, Russia, and Germany? Don't they deserve some of your distain too? They are only interested in what they can sell in Iran. They couldn't care less if Iran dropped the bomb on the US ...

Re: Thoughts on [Pre-paid legal service]

Before taking an LTC course, research in advance if you're to be subjected to a sales pitch. If so, I'd look for one that didn't subject me to a sales pitch. I find instilling fear an unethical method of selling. Yes, it's done all the time, but I don't have to tolerate it on my time... They waiste...
