Re: Deputy Scot Peterson

I would guess he is a high suicide risk. I too thought he would be the 18th victim until I read that he felt he did a "good job" that day. His analysis of his performance sickens me almost as much as his failure. Only thing worse than a coward is a delusional coward. https://nypost.com/20...

Re: Deputy Scot Peterson

Maybe he was just a coward. Maybe his only obligation was to go home at the end of his shift and be with his family. Now he is retired probably receiving 75% of his salary. Very sad way to go especially since he had been an award winner at his job. I would guess he is a high suicide risk.

Re: Should I conceal carry a .22 pistol?

I think the major problem with .22LR aside from the lack of energy is that the round is not that reliable, depending on brand. Anything centerfire is better than a rimfire. We shoot a fair amount of .22LR and throw away an awful lot of well primer struck ammo. I just bought a Kel-Tec p32, haven't fi...

Only 7+ minutes for police to arrive. Obviously a high risk area with bars on all the windows.

Re: Kel-Tec P-32 has become available again

Clarification : I meant I carry factory loaded extreme cavitator loads. I do reload, but have not ventured into .32 yet, may do so soon though. I'm buying a LCR in .327 magnum, so I plan to get into reloading .32 auto through .327. Sorry for the confusion. I have an LCR in .38 special. I don't enjo...

Re: Buh-Bye Optics Planet

A better response is to not do business with any company based in Illinois. Like Springfield Armory? I see the sense of what you’re saying, but I think it is self defeating. My hope is that companies like Springfield will eventually see the light and move their facilities to states with more gun-fr...

Re: Buh-Bye Optics Planet

I'm really starting to question why I, or anyone else, has need for a 30 round magazine for hunting, target shooting or home protection? I don't understand why you are arguing the "need" issue. Technically the 2ndA is not about hunting, target shooting or home protection. I know that you ...

Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?

BTW, our founding fathers' rifles, you know, the guys who drafted the Constitution with its beautiful 2nd Amendment, had a magazine capacity of ONE (1). In fairness to a quality discussion, they were also gearing up to fight against the army or gov't who at that time also had single shots. I believ...

Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?

Go back to the Connecticut mass shooting, the AR was purchased by the mother, she was then killed by her mentally deranged son who then proceeded on to the school to kill those teachers and students. The obvious defect is the mentally deranged shooter and not the gun or the magazine size. One also n...

Re: County Bans Guns At All County Parks

As a LTC carrier this should not make any difference. It would seem that you can not bring a long gun into the parks now. The average person would not have been able to bring a handgun into the park anyway. I personally don't find this to be an unusual ban. By posting the County is on much better l...

For curiosity what powder did you use and what load? Lehigh only lists max load in their load data. Who knows, this might be financially a reason to reload.
