Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

What if somebody in Colorado buys weed and the DEA comes along and seizes it? Should the DEA have to reimburse them? What if they say, "Bruh, I thought it was legal in Colorado." Does that mean they can't be prosecuted unless the DEA can prove that the buyer KNEW it was illegal? I don't t...

Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

Unless they can prove that the buyer KNEW he was ineligible, the system might have failed, but he committed no crime that I’m aware of. The upshot is that, in my opinion, you can’t just seize something without compensation, when that thing was purchased in good faith. If gov’t is going to seize a g...

Re: Quality range time today

Now that I live in the country, I can do some shooting on my own property. For now, I can only shoot pistols and .22 rifles until I upgrade my berm/backstop. However, a friend has a bigger place across the border in Oklahoma that I was able to go to yesterday. Like you, we had a group of folks there...

Thank you, Mr. Cotton, for the link and reply. Now I'm curious what Congressman Massie really has against the bill...

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity is on the Move: Your Lawmakers Need to Hear from You NOW!

I have read that Senator Schumer supports the "fix NICS" thing. Senator Schumer HATES law-abiding firearms owners, despises the 2nd Amendment, and would NEVER vote for ANY sort of bill that had anything positive to it concerning firearms. If he is indeed supporting that, then there MUST b...

Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

Note that the ATF is quoted as saying they didn't pursue one buyer whose background check subsequently failed because they "lacked resources." Hog. Wash. They simply decided other things were more important. Yeah, I agree, I'm sure they had other priorities. Things like "Fast and Fur...

Re: Cheap guns

I have a 20-year old P89 (first pistol I ever purchased myself). It has gone bang every time I've fired it (minus one brand of ammunition from Hungary with very hard primers, MFS). The only maintenance it's ever had is field strip and cleaning after most shooting sessions. I did add Hogue grips, and...

Re: Wheel gun carry

I often locally (rural and small town area) carry a Ruger Security Six with 4-inch barrel. I ordered a Cattleman OWB belt holster from Simply Rugged Holsters, along with a gun belt and speed strip pouch. The holster can be ordered with a snap-type strap, or a hammer thong. The holster, pouch, and re...

Re: Why do we need 30.06/7?

I guess we are for now stuck with 30.06/07 laws as a compromise to get concealed carry through the legislature. My personal feeling is that a business open to the public should not be able to post 30.06 but could post 30.07 as open carry might upset other patrons. But nobody cares about my opinion....

Re: Getting my CHL back after DWI Suspension

Let me start by saying I've never had a DUI/DWI. However, there are those who get one for downing a bunch of drinks and whipping their car down the road, fully a menace to society. Then there are those who had a couple too many, tried to sleep it off in the car, had the keys on them, and were arrest...

Re: TX: Sutherland Springs church attacked 16 shot breaking

Incidents like this make me very angry. I'm angry because an evil person was able to cause so much death and heartache for so many people, and I can't do a thing about it. I know the folks on this forum are very good at getting information on horrible incidents like this. I really would like to know...
