Re: Husband can't get an LTC; what about wife?

No, its not really your business. It is her right to to be able to protect herself, and her responcibility to make sure he doesn't have access to them if he has been legally denied the right. Its her responsibilty to fill out the forms completely and honestly . :iagree: But, with that said, it is Y...

Re: Where are all of the "printers"?

I can count on one hand how many times I have seen someone "printing" in the four and half years I have been carrying myself. I still look to see if I can tell for my own amusement. As far as myself goes, since open carry passed, I have switched from IWB to OWB holsters and don't give much...

Re: A smart liberal

He might be smart, but he's preaching to a brick wall. Academia isn't just disinterested in hearing conservative or libertarian ideas and speech, they are terrified of conservative and libertarian ideas and speech. Why? Because their precious ideals not only do not stand up to logical examination, ...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

My standard response is 4/1/69 when asked at a check out register for my birth date. Use the same date for websites, etc that have no real need for my actual birth date. I do similar. I use a consistent not-my-real phone number too. It's just easier to comply with fake information. And I get a last...

My standard response is 4/1/69 when asked at a check out register for my birth date. Use the same date for websites, etc that have no real need for my actual birth date. My actual birthday is 4/16/68. I really don't care if they know it or not. Maybe they will send me a free box of ammo on my birth...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Sorry I missed it! I was out the door to head that way and truck was dead. I still had time to run (in the Jeep) to the auto parts store down the street and get it running, but ended up getting a speeding ticket a block from my house. (First ticket in over 12 years! :banghead: ) By then, I was a lit...

Re: I'm going to apply...

Good luck to you! :thumbs2: Sadly, I'm past the point of becoming a police officer. I should have stuck with it when I had the chance. Too old now. One of the few regrets I have. I made it all the way to the oral review board and pulled myself out because my then soon to be wife (now ex) talked me o...

This may be a silly question, but can you just show up? At this moment I can't commit either way. Thanks!

Re: Lost LTC replacement question

No. You should be ok. I think they put that message on all confirmations. I've done both a change of address and renewal, they both said the same thing but went through without sending any further documents. I think the "if applicable" part is what should be focused on. :tiphat:

Re: Online Veteran Exchange looking for beta testers

Received this email today. IMG_0430.JPG So did I. I figured it would be a select few, but it seems almost everyone that signed up is getting selected to beta test. :smilelol5: After looking through the website, I don't see much of a discount (except maybe sales tax?) I will probably just wait until...

Re: How Concealed do You have to be at work?

This is a sore subject for me. I work for a city government, so they are not allowed to post signs restricting carrying, but they can restrict their employees from it, which they do! So in other words, Any "Joe LTC" can walk right into my office with theirs, but I can't in my own office. (...

Re: Current on line renewal wait times?

To OP, I can't comment on why yours is taking so long, but I renewed back in October and from the day I went online to mailbox was 14 business days. When I did a change of address, three years ago, it took exactly one week. My original application took 3 months, so who knows. :confused5

Re: Dallas State Rep Arrested for DWI

Unfortunately she is my rep. I did NOT vote for her. If I remember correctly, she only won by 54 votes. Her district is mainly Hispanic. If you wanted to talk about gerrymandering, she is a prime example that favors the Dems. PARTS of Dallas, Mesquite and Garland. :mad5

Same Here.

+1 I figured they would need more info than requested like date of separation, grade, etc.. but nope, just a couple of things, easy.
