Re: Special Session -- 2013

You may be surprised to learn that Speaker Straus (R-San Antonio) is "A" rated by NRA-ILA. Rep. Joe Pickett (D-El Paso), Chairman of the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee is likewise "A" rated. How would you have rated these individuals based upon their actions in th...

Re: Unpaid traffic camera ticket

I know a guy who inherited a car and never changed the title. He just keeps paying the renewal fee and they keep sending stickers.

Re: AMC Theaters Now Have Bars Inside

I've yet to see a 30.06 posted AMC Theater. Oh, I've seen some rather halfhearted attempts; 8.5"x11" sheets of paper w/ the 30.06 language, gun buster signs, etc. If you've seen an AMC Theater that is posted, correctly, can you tell us where? http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="w...

The HORROR! The crowds, the traffic! Those poor poor neighbors! :nopity
I wonder if the coverage would be the same if the neighbors were complaining about noise and traffic from a new mosque.

Re: Special Session -- 2013

I just got this e-mail from the NRA-ILA: "While transportation, pro-life and juvenile justice issues have been added to the call for the current special session, the NRA has been informed that important Second Amendment issues such as campus carry will NOT be included. While Governor Rick Perr...

Re: Bill to eliminate Texas reciprocity

If the professional license validity is independent of the licensee's state of residence, then holding them up as an example argues that the same independence should exist for CHL reciprocity.

Re: Random question

If the handgun is in a purse, the person holding the purse should have a CHL (or be a LEO, etc) unless they're on their own property, in their car, or have some other exception from 46.02 .

I would tell him he can't get a gun through the internet. The tubes aren't wide enough.

Re: Bill to eliminate Texas reciprocity

If something like SB 481 passes, all the good work for reciprocity achieved by the Governor and his Attorneys General will be undone. Almost every single reciprocity agreement will have to be rewritten, reissued and then, hopefully, the reduced commitment accepted by the governor of the reciprocal ...

You can get criminal records (or lack of records) from the county where you were arrested and driving records from DPS.

Re: carry in a construction company truck and job site

I would rather be terminated by an employer because I was carrying than terminated by a criminal because I wasn't
but that is a decision each person has to decide based on their circumstances.

Re: Bill to eliminate Texas reciprocity

Someone with a valid drivers license from another state can walk into a Texas DPS office and walk out with a temporary Texas license, with the plastic mailed within a few weeks, all for much less than $50 out of pocket. Unless this bill provides an equally easy and inexpensive path to a Texas CHL fo...

Re: HB3218 set for hearing April 18th!

If being able to defend our lives from criminals is important to them, they will pass it. If they dont care about our lives and safety they wont. The best we can do at this point is vote accordingly next year, ignoring those who try to muddy the issue by saying they tried but time ran out.

Re: Houston carry

The only place I saw a 30.06 in Houston was at a gun show. Fortunately we saw their true colors before buying tickets and went somewhere more CHL friendly instead.
