I have heard of it, twice in fact. Pretty sure it is SOP for a shooting involving a license holder to take it until you are no-billed by a grand jury.
There is a big difference btween suspending a license if charged (you don't even have to use your firearm for that) and
( "rlol" ) holding it for evidence ( "rlol" )

If they send it to the grand jury without charges, you keep your license. I know of that once.
