Re: Now this is the reason why I carry

We have all discussed the 21' rule here. Now, I am no Jerry Miculek. I am, however, old, overweight, and have bad knees and ankles. Therefore, my 21' has gone out to closer to 30' when possible. Now we all know that the perspective distances are not always possible so you need to stay in condition y...

I don't usually go out without a gun, but when I do, I have a big knife.

Re: Police Chief Realizes Gun Missing - After 4 Days

It would appear that one Arizona police chief doesn't give a lot of attention to his service weapon. After a meeting in a library, he changed clothes in the rest room and left his gun behind. So far, not good - but it happens. However, he reportedly didn't notice it was missing for 4 days. Not good...

Re: SIG P938 Review - 1st shots

I have a P938 that was bought for my wife. The safety kept hitting her knuckle and cutting it. I tried to change her grip position but she wasn't comfortable so I inherited it. I thoroughly cleaned it before it ever went to the range and have never had a hiccup from it. Well over a thousand rounds d...

Re: Dallas Gun Show - Market Hall

Entertainment value for sure... More fun watching the Rambo's decked out in full tactical gear. (I'm impressed  ) The old guy who wants to share every bit of his knowledge with you even though you didn't ask for any. The sweeper and the guy on his knees begging the wife because every house ne...

I will be there off and on. I work the blood drive for Scottish Rite Hospital.
If you give blood you get free admission to the show and help a child.

Re: Need suggestions for a gift

If you are looking for reliable, made in USA that is not semi-automatic, I highly recommend Henry Repeating Arms - especially for children. I plan on leaving him most all of my rifles and shotguns as he is the only one of my kids or grand kids that likes to hunt so I wasn't going to make his first ...

Need suggestions for a gift

I am going to get my 15 year old grandson his first deer rifle for Christmas. He has been using my old 30/30 for a couple of years now and has shot my Remington 30.06 and likes it. As a starter rifle, I am looking at 3, all in 30.06. The Remington 783 with scope for $324.00, The Remington 700 ADL wi...

I answer to your question, shortly after OC was enacted, I had someone come to my office trying to give us both .06 and .07 signs. They were escorted off of the property with the utmost of professionalism :biggrinjester:
