Re: 4yo kills self with grandmothers gun

This reminds me of my last trip to Cabelas. A guy was there with his wife and 5-6 year old son. He was looking for his first gun, and asked the clerk if it was possible to install a manual safety on a Glock because he really liked that gun but needed a manual safety in case his son picked up the gu...

Re: Felony Reduced to Misdemeanor...DENIED.

If the conviction was for family violence, then that is a permanent disqualification.
I say this only because no one knows what the conviction was for except you. None of our business.

Unfortunately, my wife likes more "bling and shiny things" so I got her a S&W 686.

Re: Question about carrying in the car

and if you DO have it on your person (holster or pocket), remember you are ONLY legal to do so as long as you REMAIN in your car. Lets say you get pulled over by the police. They say "step out of the car" As soon as you step out of the car, you are technically breaking the law. So my sugg...

Re: Called out in church on my CC

Most of our church know I and others carry. We are a motorcycle friendly church and do frequent rides together. Shirts tend to blow up exposing your weapon when doing 40+ MPH. Our pastor has his CHL, now LTC as does several of the folks in our congregation, men and women.

Re: The wife is weird sometimes..........

You guys are funny. When I want to guy a gun, I say "I'm going to [insert name of death merchant here] to check out the [name gun here], so don't be surprised if I come home with it." And then I go, and I buy or not buy according to whateve I decide at the merchant's place of business. Ab...

Re: Car theft 101

My wife's car is a Ford Explorer that has the pushbutton start. the fob has to be in the car before the car will start. We have an Escape and it to has to be inside before it will start. Also, it has to be within about 18" or so to open the door. I keep mine in my right pocket and open the dri...

Re: Can I Buy Just One Sock?

I feel your pain. Several years ago I was separating some pond plants to repot. Of course I was using my trusty Buck. I was in shorts and barefoot. Now, I had already done 3 plants when my wife walks out and says "your going to cut your foot". Next slice, sure enough, it slipped and went i...

Re: Pros & cons comparing rifles w/ shotguns using slugs?

I have a .340 Weatherby Magnum as my big game rifle. Dad left this one to me. I also have a S&W .500 that would be carried as well. I dont want a bear within 50 yards as the reaction time is very short, around 3 seconds. See the paper on the link below. https://www.fws.gov/mountain-prairie/speci...
