Re: RV, camper van, site trailer, and work truck carry considerations

The reality is that a worn gun works in any of your scenarios... so your choice of the M&P is good. If the M&P grip is too aggressive (and I think you meant that you like it as is) you can lightly break the extreme sharpness with fine sandpaper and very light pressure. That would still allo...

Re: Advice from seasoned travelers

If you have been to the range lately, clean your shoes or wear different shoes. Their sniffers can detect the gun powder residue. Ask me how I know this

Re: WA: Burglar shoots LEO dead during chase

RIP to the officer involved and prayers for comfort to his family and friends. It is sad that this type of thing is becoming the norm more often than not. I personally blame it on liberalism. Their attitude is take what you want, if you don't something or someone or don't agree with it, then destroy...

Re: Arrests

Rmonty, If it were me, I'd contact the county where the arrests were and ask them for the documentation showing the final dispositions just to have on hand. I suspect you'll get a letter requesting it and it will expedite the process of you have it ready to send. The other option is to go ahead and...

Re: My Water Line Burst

What it looks like to me is that it has been slowly leaking for some time and the minerals in the water made a mineral deposit around the pipe. Yes, it is very hard to break those deposits, at least in my area. By the looks of the rest of the exposed pipe, you will have this issue again in the futur...

Re: Questions About LEO's Asking For ID's When I'm Simply Passenger

Going to turn the table for a second. Driver is pulled over for any infraction. Officer comes up and says I'm Officer LEO from Noname Police Department. The reason for the stop is you failed to do whatever. Are there and weapons in the car? Now, said driver is unaware that you as a passenger has a L...

Re: My Water Line Burst

I suspect that when you get down to the pipe that is ruptured, you may find more damage than you expect. Buried pipe in Texas shouldn't freeze to a point of rupture, even at 6"-8" deep unless we have a freeze of many days (7-10 or more) of sub-freezing temps and even then it would have to ...

Re: Questions About LEO's Asking For ID's When I'm Simply Passenger

Along the same lines, and watching Live PD (one of my favorite shows), I often see they use the excuse I smell weed which gives them probable cause to search a vehicle. I have a couple of issues with this. (1) This means they could use this excuse whether they actually smell it or not (yes judge, th...

Re: What are your 2018 shooting goals?

I have to try to get to the range more. Paying yearly for a membership and haven't had a chance to go more than once a month at best. I do want to to take a trauma course of some sort. I have kept my CPR certification active but since I retired (moved) from the volunteer fire department 20+ years ag...

Re: make sure you have a good first aid kit at home.....

Glad it wasn't worse and you will be okay. I've told this story on here before but it's worth a laugh again. First though, do you ever wonder if doctors and nurses in an ER ever talk to one another or even read a patients chart. I'll explain during this story. Several years ago we (I) was separating...
