Re: New gun law summary

I know that Charles posted a link to the new gun laws that were passed this year, but I can't find it. Anyone point me to it? Thanks in advance. Keep in mind, the legislative session isn't over until June 19 at 12:01 AM. There are still several bills that will have an impact on Texas LTC holders th...

Re: Can you legally carry a .500?

Nothing in CHL-16 other than .32 minimum for qualification . Which goes away on September 1. Are you sure about that? I have been trying to find out whether that bill was signed or not. Posted a question about it but haven't received a response. 100% sure: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLookup/Hi...

Re: Sign to Support Property Tax Reform - Lt. Gov. Patrick

As has been said by others, property tax reform is meaningless unless the school district taxes are dealt with at the same time. ISD taxes are the lion's share of the property taxes I pay.

Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel

It was sent to Gov. for signing on 5/30. Does anyone have an update? I can't seem to find anything after 5/30. There isn't any press on this anywhere! If not read on this forum, I don't think anyone would even know about this! Very odd. Perhaps a hush hush kinda thing? The best place to go for info...

Re: Climate Change: take my test

Using philip964's nubmers, that is a 35.33% increase in CO2 as a percentage of Earth's atmosphere. Not insignificant by any stretch of the imagination. The main questions that people are wrestling with are: 1) Is this increase in CO2 the driver of significant climate change? 2) Is primary source of ...

Re: LTC Holder Pulls Firearm In Park

I just saw this story on WFAA's website. It states, You also can't have a gun in a public park if a school-sponsored event is going on there, because Texas law makes it clear. Guns are not allowed on school premises, at school activities, or in school buses. So is the law really written that if I'm...
