Seems like every day now there's another shooting or armed robbery here in Houston. Hope my LTC goes through...

Attn FBI and Broward County Sheriff- this is how police work is done! Exactly <SNARK> But, but, but... you are just perpetuating the school to jail pipeline. Give these poor innocent teenagers a chance! Stop oppressing them and preventing them from expressing their artistic talents in a common soci...

Re: What’s the rules on city parks

I would say you are only required to observe the school rule if you are some sort of participant in the school activity. If you just happen to be in the city park and not associated with the school, you should not be subject to the school rule. The same argument has been used regarding zoo trips, e...

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

While not a slam dunk win for the city, it is quite obvious the judge is trying to limit when and where license holders may carry. Based on my reading of the letter the judge believes: Gun Busters signs have no force of law when applied to government entities (this is the only good thing that I see ...

Article on the front page of CNN under the headline: "Shooter's history puts Texas gun laws in the spotlight".

Re: Going to Austin. State capital question.

similar question. Last year when I visited the capital I went solo and used the express entrance, next time I will probably take my son. Does he get to follow me through the express lane or do I have to accompany him through the mere mortal entrance? You have to send him through the normal line. Bu...

"I don't know of a gun law that could have stopped the Las Vegas shooting, but that won't stop me from trying to come up with something to further my agenda of banning private ownership of anything that can hurl a projectile at another individual."

Re: Legal sign?

I work part time at a shelter in Texas. We currently have both 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted. We are a non-profit that receives funds from HHSC and VOCA. However, we currently lease the building out for $1 a year from our city. Am I correct that if the city owns it, the signs should come down, much ...

No news, no news and glacially slowly. We may see enforcement by the next ice age at this point, but that is generally how fast the justice system works anyway.

Re: Time to move

That is why you use a good Realtor. And that is an oxymoron. :mad5 In my experience, that's not true unless you just walk into a real estate office and ask for any agent. You need to qualify an agent in the same manner as you would an attorney. If you do that, you will very likely have a very satis...
