Re: Late pregnancy carry?

I'm 33 weeks (and have 2 toddlers) and have been purse carrying since my non-pregnancy jeans stopped fitting. It's not a purse designed for concealed carry. I got it at Sam Moon for $20...it fits across my chest and rests on my hip about the same place as my LC9 would be when I carry in my waistband...

Re: Printing

Before I got married 5 years ago, I was a desktop publisher. Love fonts and page layouts. InDesign CS4 had just come out when I quit work. My hubs bought me a subscription last year when Adobe introduced the cloud version. Had the entire suite for a year, but with 2 toddlers stealing all my time, I ...

Re: Word use that drives you up the wall!

We recently visited family in Canada. Fortunately, none of us picked up the "...eh." habit. However, the other thing that they do up there is to say, "...right?" at the end of all their declarative sentences. My 2 year old picked this up. Mommy, I need to go potty, right? Mommy, ...

Re: Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna?

We tried to avoid minivans...test drove every crossover and SUV on the market and just couldn't find anything we liked. Then we tried a minivan and we were sold - there isn't any pride to be lost in driving a minivan! We opted for the Sienna - the Odyssey felt cheap and uncomfortable compared to the...

Re: 30.06 at Chuy's?!?!?!

It was a platter of fajitas for 2. Still too expensive if you ask me! I know this is kinda dumb, but it made me laugh...was hoping some others might get a chuckle out of it too!

Re: Not a Wally Walk, but...

I have a cheap pocket holster to hold me until I can figure out what I'd really like to have. It's "sticky" - not to the touch, but the type of material it's made from has a nice friction point that holds it in place...enough so that I can carry it inside my waistband if I want to. Look fo...

Wahooo, Waco! Thank you for pointing me to F.M. I live just a few miles from there and pass it all the time, but never noticed it. Guess I need to open my eyes a little! Y'all know what I'm doing this weekend!! :fire

Re: Panic at 5am

TAM - Sorry for the confusion. There is a baby monitor in each of the toddlers' rooms and that is what allowed me to hear the alarm this morning. The baby was stillborn a few weeks ago, she never had a room...she just kept me away from the firing range for about 4.5 months while I was pregnant. Our ...

Re: Panic at 5am

AEA - our neighbor murdered our German Shepherd last year. I would LOVE another one. We have two toddlers, no time to devote to a 4-legged family member, and a fear of losing another dog to the neighbors. My GSD would have woken us up even before the alarm went off if she were still here. Jumping Fr...

Panic at 5am

Y'all, I do NOT wake up before 8am if I can help it. That I am writing this before 5:30 in the morning, you can believe me when I say this JUST happened. The hubs and I were fast asleep and I heard a noise on the baby monitor that I did not recognize...like an alarm clock going off. I was trying to ...

Re: What to do when you're not the driver?

And there's always the possibility/probability that the driver doesn't know a passenger is carrying...As a driver, I'm responsible for *my* weapon(s) in my vehicle, but not the weapons(s) of my passengers... Personally, I keep my mouth shut, and I've never been asked (as a passenger) about it... Tr...
