If it is clearly a bar, I would not want to try to explain to a LEO that, although I took the LTC course, I somehow don't know that carry in a bar is illegal. Even if you beat the rap, expect to get the ride.

It's likely that some of the actual instructors are not actually gun guys at all, but work for a company whose owner took the necessary courses to be authorized to sign off on the forms. They are not asking if you are retired military. The DD-214 is your proof of discharge, showing you as a veteran.
