Thanks so much for the replies! I am going to the range tomorrow and will talk to a friend up there about it.

I have been shooting for over a year now and have had my chl since May. I've become very much an advocate for gun rights and as a woman, I'm encouraging other women to try shooting. I now have 2 friends wanting their chl, and several others that want me to take them to the range to teach them to shoot. As for myself I've taken a few training classes in gun safety and beginning shooting. I'm at the range at least once a week and have a friend there that's been working with me to improve my shooting.
So my question is this: I'd like to become a certified instructor for beginning shooters. At what point would I know that I am ready to do a course like this? And how long does it take to get certified? How difficult is the course and is there anything I should do to prepare beforehand?
