Great, so we're hopefully going to get a good sense of what might be the time-frame on these!rtschl wrote:It was sent to the Law Enforcement Liaison for the AG's office for review. It was to let me know that my complaint was received and will go through the civil process. I'm encouraged.
Sorry, but forwarded by who for review by whom?rtschl wrote:I'm cross posting this, but I received an email just a few minutes ago that my complaint has been forwarded for review.

Not to mention that it also spells out who officially operates the zoo, and within Article 2 it specifies that no matter what the operator does there it is all still owned by the zoo regardless and that the city controls who uses the zoo.AJSully421 wrote:PERFECT! In one of those "Whereas" it stated the city owns the land, and has dedicated part of it to the Zoo... that will do. David Cooke, Ft. Worth City Manager: (817) 392-6134
Sarah Fullenwider, Ft. Worth City Attorney: (817) 392-8359
Next question, I am preparing the affidavit... what did you use as proof that the zoo is owned by Fort Worth?

Would be interesting to have them after trying to make a case for being a school to not be one because of the animals. Maybe the county would end up putting something in writing saying that they determined that the zoo isn't a school.treadlightly wrote:I should have checked before popping off - but there might be. I wonder if there are any state laws or rules against dangerous animals in daycare centers? That would be interesting!
Chas,
I wonder if they qualify as a public school?• TEX. LOC. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 240.002(a), Local Government Code, is amended to read as follows:
(a) The commissioners court of a county by order may prohibit or regulate the keeping of a wild animal in the county:
(1) at a residence; or
(2) within 1,000 feet of a residence or public school.
