What Some Teachers Think About Carrying Guns Doesn’t Match Historical Reality

https://thefederalist.com/2018/05/22/teachers-think-carrying-guns-doesnt-match-historical-reality/ Prior to the 1995 Safe School Zone Act, states with right-to-carry laws let teachers carry concealed handguns at school. Lott was unable to find a single instance when faculty improperly used a permit...

Thrall, Texas, Police Chief Responds to Art Acevedo

https://www.facebook.com/ThrallPD/posts/1743184782384794 I graduated from Thrall High School in 1970 and have not had any real association with the town since. Still, I like the way Thrall Police Chief Whitworth thinks. … I have followed Chief Acevedo for many years and respect his experience and y...

Re: Rangemaster Tom Givens Instructor Course

KR usually host Tom Givens for a week or so a year for a few classes. There is a reason Tom is so well regarded... the fact that he has over 60 past students who have been in gunfights and all the ones who had a gun with them survived and won. I would love to take some of his classes but schedules ...

Re: Women’s Holster Recommendations

Would like some recommendations for IWB and OWB holsters for women for concealed carry. Would especially like to hear from the ladies. I am trying to help my wife go to on the body rather than purse with her Glock 19. Janie, especially would like your thoughts and recommendations. Is your wife real...

Re: Hospitals MUST post 3006/3007?

I have no clue who this Holcomb guy is,... Terry Holcomb is the founder of the Texas Carry organization, and was the guy sued by Waller County when he filed a complaint about their court house signs with the Texas AG. That's covered in this thread: http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=85417...

Re: Does anybody here still care a revolver?

My wife replaced her Ruger LCR .38 with a Walther PPS M2. Easier to carry and conceal. Simply because it is available, I now carry the LCR in a Remora holster in my left front pocket. The LCR is backup to the S&W M&P M2.0 9mm 5inch that I carry openly in a Safariland 7TS ALS retention holster on my ...

In 2013, did my research and picked the NRA as my national group and the TSRA as my state group. In my observation, these groups continue to be the most effective advocates for the nation and for Texas.

Re: Safariland 6376 ALS Concealment High Ride Belt Slide Holster

I really enjoy my 7TS ALS. Once I deactivate the retention, drawing is effortless. There is no resistence as there is with a holster that uses friction to hold the pistol in place.

I am sure you will enjoy your ALS holster.
