Texas3006.com shows no listing for Texas Roadhouse in San Antonio. All of the Texas Roadhouse locations listed in Texas3006.com are 30.07 only. I seldom go to Texas Roadhouse, but this is what I have seen in Austin; only 30.07 posted.

Re: County Bans Guns At All County Parks

I read in the newspaper this morning that Bastrop County has among other things banned guns at its three county parks. Violations would be a Class C misd. with a fine up to $500.00. No other info was provided re the gun ban such as signage. http://www.statesman.com/news/local/bastrop-county-draftin...

Re: Let's Really Protect Our Schools

Do you have to be a school employee (as I am not) to take the Texas School Safety Course? If not, does anyone have a link to sign up for the course around Austin/Georgetown? Thanks in advance. No, you do not have to be a school employee to take the school safety course. KR Training is offering the ...

Re: Let's Really Protect Our Schools

I am with you, Charles, and ready "to join in the campaign to pass legislation that will truly protect our school kids." I have my School Safety Certification from the DPS. This is a difference I can make.

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

I took the course at KR Training in December, 2017, and have my certificate. In addition to the other things I learned in the 18 hour course, I have shown I can achieve over 90% on the Texas LTC course of fire, pass the DPS Shooting Under Duress exercise, and pass the shooting course for a major Te...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

I don't think we need government involvement either. While even one student death is tragic, since 2012 there has been 239 school shootings out of approx. 128,000 schools, There has benn 438 injuries out of which 138 were fatal. This out of approx. 51 million students. School districts in Texas can...

Re: What do you think of my new "bling"

Decorative and functional. I replaced the baseplates on the 4 magazines for my M&P with laser etched plates partly so I could easily tell them apart. Now, the crossed cannons on the slide back plate, that's just bling. ;-) I told my wife I was taking training and accessorizing so I could protect...

Re: Green/Red chamber

I carry mine with no rounds at all in the pistol. Empty mag, empty chamber. If I need it, I will pull it out and say, " mine says Desert Eagle point five oh" and the bad guys will just run away. I carry a spare Maglula concealed of course to load that empty mag. Must be purple. My wife's ...

Re: Holsters for S&W M&P 9C

Looking for a couple of holsters for my newly-acquired S&W M&P 9C: one for AIWB and one for OWB at 3:00. I'm leaning toward the Safariland ALS for the OWB and either the Blade Tech Nano, the Crossbreed Supertuck, or a Mika for AIWB. Recommendations? Thanks, Crash The Safariland 7TS ALS hols...

Re: Green/Red chamber

When I first got my CHL in 2013, I carried my Tanfoglio BTA90 with an empty chamber simply because that is the way I carried my M1911A1 in the First Cavalry Division. I soon came to realize that I could not guarantee that I will have the use of both hands when the evil threat presents and have carri...

Re: M&P Core 5” 9mm for $425?

Is that a good price? Yes, it seems to be a good price, if the pistol is new in the box. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore sells it new for $609.82 plus transfer. https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/124931 SOS also sells the S&W M&P M2.0 9mm 5inch for $429.99 plus tran...

Re: Stop the Bleed

+1 for Lone Star Medics. A 1 or 2 hour class is a great start, but it should not be the end of training. I took Caleb Causey's 2 day Medicine X - EDC http://lonestarmedics.com/medicine-x-edc/ . It is equivalent with the Combat Life Saver certification training I had on active duty with the US Army, ...
