Re: Had to Pull My Gun Today!

An old thread, but still seems to be active. I too live out in the country. Unleashed dogs that act aggressive and charge and bark at passing cars are common. Unless they're a new dog, if you swerve a little toward them, or if you're walking by and yell at them, they back away quickly. My grand daug...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

Zip code I don't mind. That's generic and widespread enough . Phone number doesn't bother me either. I still have a landline that I never answer, but use the phone number for warranties at places and so they can figure out who I am and send me coupons in the mail. Birthday has always been a no go fo...

Re: London Bridge: Another terror attack

That way they can cling to their continental delusion of "we're all CIVILIZED people here" (I'm of irish descent, I know EXACTLY how civilized they really are) and not burst the population's liberal bubble... I think bursting the bubble is the only way they're going to fix that mess over ...

Re: London Bridge: Another terror attack

" More Muslims are killed by other Muslims than by non-Muslims" I guess that means we should be grateful they don't kill more non-Muslims than they do, eh? I didn't read it that way. You said someone should start killing Muslims (think the Christians tried that back during The Crusades). ...

Re: DC Police Chief Says Citizens Should Fight Terrorists

If we actually had an unbiased media who know how to act as a reporter, someone would have brought this part up to the chief by now.

Re: Veteran in service since 1921 to finally retire

I've always found it amazing that in this day and age of computer aided drafting and engineering, metallurgy, milling machines, etc., that JMB could come up with designs 100 years ago in his head that are still such a favorite today. And to think that so many of the early production ones like this M...

Scary outcome. Hard to say exactly what happened in the unedited video, but in the end, the officer claims he was arresting the suspect for traffic violations.

Failing to signal and obstruction in the windshield. Wonder how many others get thrown in jail for those violations.

Re: Sam's Wifi blocks Texas CHL Forum

Sorry for the dumb question, but do phones normally just log onto a wifi connection without any prompts? I don't have an I phone, but I didn't think they did that. I keep my wifi turned off because I heard it improves battery life. Don't really know a lot about it, but don't like the idea of the pho...

Re: Cutting the cord

I'm of no help, but congrats. Way out in the country and fiber to the house don't even belong in the same conversation where I live. My high speed internet option still has to buffer youtube videos, so watching anything longer than 30 seconds online doesn't really work. I do keep my home phone numbe...

Re: Dry Fire

Why do you feel you need to dry fire with a magazine inserted? Would it not be better to leave the mag out and double check the chamber so you don't get used to just pulling the trigger with a mag inserted?

Kind of brings up the whole accidental discharge vs. negligent discharge conversation.

Re: Open carry idiots, Walmart, MS

I think drawing in a situation like this would just make a bad situation worse (unless there's a direct threat). Getting clear of the line of fire and hanging around to be a witness to the police that someone is an idiot would be the best course of action.

Re: Brady Bunch lawsuit dismissed, fees ordered

Interesting Virgina local gets the most votes when Lucky Gunner is in TN (according to the emails I get). I did read about the story in the news, but don't recall seeing a link to any poll in the advertisement emails. Did I miss something? Last one I got from them was yesterday with no mention of th...

Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

I don't believe someone who entered an establishment for the sole purpose of being kicked out of it understands the concept of courteous and well mannered. I guess we should all just be good sheep and go along without ruffling any feathers? If they posted all their locations 30.06 would you disarm ...

Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

So walking into a place that is not posted and then leaving when being asked to leave and letting them know you won't spend money there is a bad tactic? Should we be obeying the gunbuster signs too? I remember when 30.06 was new and all the places that posted signs for fear of all the massacres. Man...

Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

If this turns out to be true, then I will open carry into Whataburger just to be told to leave so I can remind them of the money they are losing. I don't plan on ever open carrying anywhere else. Concealed is what I will continue to do, but if they don't want open carry, post the required sign on th...
