Re: NRA Carry Guard - Level 1 Training

l won't give any specific details on COF, testing, or the like per their request, but it's a well thought out three days...

Is there some "non-specific" info you could share? Sorry but otherwise I do not find this to be a useful posting.

Re: The Glock 43 update!

I also have the TALO all black rear sight with U-notch, and a Trijicon HD orange front sight on my G43. the G43 is a GREAT gun and while I find that any night sight is better than none, I do not find the blacked-out rear sight to be optimal. I have a similar set-up on my G 17. While good for combat ...

Re: Kaufman Co.: Range asserts NRA can't make Texas law.

The owner of the range is the same owner as Fusion Gun Range, and he has a somewhat tarnished rep. Not surprising that he would make a mess out of this venture as it seems to be his method of operating. Too bad.

So a career criminal who is not even supposed to be in the country can get away with murder in broad daylight. I say, “No justice, no peace.” :mad5 I think that it is worse than that. If you follow the "logic" in this case, no one can ever be charged with a negligent homicide in CA includ...

Re: TX: Deadly force in defense of 3rd party against unarmed assailant

Some folks are infirm with a variety of problems. For me, my shoulders are a ruin and both need surgical repair. That said, if I took it upon myself to intervene helping someone being violently wronged without using a gun, I'd be of little use. You don't remain young and nimble - if lucky you get o...

Re: Trauma Kits

Instead of QuikClot powder, the current trend is to use an impregnated gauze bandage to pack wounds. Most kits have Quikclot z-folded combat gauze included nowadays. Removes the debriding issues and is easier to apply, can also be used to apply pressure over a wound. As far as tourniquets, the CAT C...

Re: Best way to get ammo count?

A long time ago, I created an .XLS file and offered it in a thread here for people to use, and the general consensus was - nah, too much trouble. After a while, I quit using it too. I’m in the same boat as C-dub. I know this much: over the past several years, I have been purchasing ammo at a much g...
