I don't want to come across as a Negative Nellie, but when you have a legislature that finds it more important to pass a bill about hunting hogs from balloons than a bill that actually makes sense you have to wonder what is wrong with them. I have no doubt that should a bill be introduced next session that would allow the hunting of feral squirrels from bi-planes it too would be deemed more important. Sorry, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Our so called "representatives" have already shown us what they are.

Don't hold your breath. Maybe some "fluff" like allowed calibers or giving somebody a discount will pass, but nothing worth anything. For such an allegedly gun friendly state, Texas sure isn't looking like it. If our reps are afraid of their constituents not liking them voting for gun rights, maybe they should just change parties and stop living a lie. That or they need to grow a pair.

Unfortunately, I still won't be able to carry into the various hospitals that my job takes me to during the day. Bummer.

In plain language, what places where we can't carry now would we be able to carry with this bill? After reading through different things, I haven't been able to figure it out. All of the legalese makes my brain hurt. It almost reads that if there is a 30.06 /07 sign nothing changes.

We can only hope and pray that this bill passes and passes without being gutted.
