Re: Shoulder holster?

There is a great thread on this site by a forum member who worked out a lot of issues with shoulder-holster carry, I don 't have it at my finger tips but search around. I believe it is only a few months old.

Re: This Happened to Me

When I was 14, in 1974, I went to Philmont Scout Ranch, which was a superb experience. About 30 or so scouts went by chartered bus, basically driving straight through from Bloomington, Indiana to Philmont, near Cimarron, New Mexico. Somewhere in the middle of the night/very early morning we stopped ...

When I renewed they still had my DD214 on file from previous license. IIRC I sent them an email first just to check.

Re: GOP lawmaker drafts bill requiring journalists to register with police

The fact that this: Scalias All the Way Down is going on in the background makes me hope/think that Trump and a few others are in fact using the current kerfuffle as a "teachable moment" and a path to getting back to having some respect for constitutional protections. The WSJ article is be...

Re: GOP lawmaker drafts bill requiring journalists to register with police

The left has tried for years to get the government to regulate (read: eliminate) "right wing news" (e.g. Fox), Rush, Tea Parties etc. They have succeeded wildly on college campuses, and they effectively used the government, with the acquiescence of not a few GOP operatives and politicians,...

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter

Bump fire is not conducive to long range accuracy. It wouldn't have to be if you are shooting at a mass targart, like a bunch of people herded together for a concert. So I read that the security guard was shot BEFORE the shooting and then I read he was shot AFTER the shooting started. I read the ti...

Harvey probably listened to it as a "how to", not a warning.

Re: Cannot Be Recovered By Any Other Means

At either my first or second CHL course (back when you had to attend a renewal class), probably about year 2001 or so, a lawyer who was the first chair felony prosecutor for Bexar County did the portion of the course devoted to use of force and deadly force. He was the guy who each morning reviewed ...

Re: Home Security Cameras.

I went to check on the Arlo cameras mentioned a couple times upthread. Recent (two days ago) article: https://www.cnet.com/products/netgear-arlo-pro-2/preview/ I know a friend with those cameras. He likes them but the price is the biggest drawback for me. Plus having to charge batteries and it drai...

Egads. I am old enough that I bought that album new, and I do remember this song. Didn't know it was Harvey Weinstein they were singing about, but figured there was someone like him in LA.

Re: TTPD officer killed...

I read the link threoh8 provided, and while I know there are pieces missing, I am even more boggled that it seems TTPD did not thoroughly search this kid. It looks like they got two separate inputs that he might have a gun, one from his family and one via the stolen gun/matching vehicle route, and s...
