Ever Shoot with No Ear Protection for Training?

I'm sure most of us routinely use ear protection when we are shooting for practice or training or whatever similar activity. However, if we ever have to fire our weapon in a real-life defense situation, we are almost certainly NOT going to have ear protection on. If you haven't noticed, gunfire is p...

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity is on the Move: Your Lawmakers Need to Hear from You NOW!

I'm late to the game (as usual)! I have not read this entire thread, though I will over the next day or two, so these points have already been covered. But here are a couple of things that I notice in my limited reading so far. Most of us (some of us?) decry giving special permissions to the &...

How about federal charges of the shooter denying the victim of her civil rights?

Re: Undocumented migrant Murderer of Kate Steinle in San Fransisco found not guilty

How could they have found him innocent of even involuntary manslaughter??? They did convict him of being a felon with a gun. Involuntary manslaughter is basically an unintentional killing due to reckless and/or criminal behavior, so how does that not fit???. I just don't get it. Again, unbelievable!...

Would You Favor Special Privilege?

Arkansas recently passed some laws which include allowing licensed handgun carriers to obtain an "enhanced" license which would then allow that person to carry their handgun into some locations that would be prohibited places for a person with a "regular" license. I don't know mu...

Re: Now this is the reason why I carry

Excellent job on your part, sir, all the way around. I know we all probably want to not HAVE to get involved, but sometimes our hand may be forced. Thugs can be such downers. Thank the Lord that it worked out well. I can’t think of anything I’d have done different, except (because I’m old and slow),...

Neighbor Spoofing

This is one of the more recent telephone scams that are going around right now that have caused me to actually answer a call that I would not have otherwise. I live in a small town, so when I see a number pop up on my caller ID that is from my area code and has our local prefix, I'm much more likely...

Snip...I hope there are consequences and nobody will be excused for negligence, they are paid to do their job... How Much Lower Can We Go?

Wow. This truly HAS to be a new low point in political campaign advertising. I honestly am not simply trying to stir the pot with this post. And I certainly am NOT someone who is easily "offended." But I am definitely offended by this so-called "advertising." I think this kind of...

Liberals Plan to Scream at the Sky

The rage is still strong in some Trump opponents, who plan to band together to "scream helplessly at the sky" on the one-year anniversary of the 2016 election. My only problem is, I can't figure out which is the proper emoji to post here about this event. Should it be this? Or thi...

Re: What would you reach for, handgun or shotgun?

Like several others have said in more or less words, I think it depends. If using a pump shotgun for home defense in the middle of the night, I personally DO like the idea of a good loud pump. If it's just a "smash and grab" burglary, just someone trying to make a quick easy score, then if...

Dana Loesch Moving Due to Threats of Violence

National Rifle Association spokesperson Dana Loesch said Sunday she was preparing to move from her home "due to repeated threats from gun control advocates." http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/16/dana-loesch-forced-to-move-due-to-repeated-threats-from-gun-control-advocates.html

Re: Thoughts on [Pre-paid legal service]

For some reason that I've never understood, it seems to me that the owners and/or moderators of this site do not want to allow discussion of insurance and/or prepaid legal services for legal defense of armed self defense encounters. I think a lot of people would benefit from that discussion, but it'...
