Re: Childrens Dallas???

Sorry, I've been busy and don't live on the forum. Instead of being difficult, or worse, why not simply spell it out :rules: Sorry it took 3 years, I've been busy, and when I logged in I had a notice, so I didn't pay much attention to the date. The hospital and virtually every Hospital or Medical fa...

Re: Childrens Dallas???

Now we all already know that Hospitals are off limits. Despite the oversight of the signage which you should inquire about. While I don't agree with the gun free zone, why does this keep coming up? Because hospitals are NOT off limits unless posted 30.06/07 :iagree: Right you are, Roy! tlt, Why don...

Re: Oddest AR Jam I've ever seen

Similar weirdness with Russian steel case cheap ammo. I've since switched to a piston system, and stopped using anything you'd consider budget ammo. If sounds similar to a scenario where the firing pin retaining pin was not installed right and / or could break or come loose and jamb things up. I'd t...

Re: African Water Buck

On day one, we did a drive to check out the lay of the land. An hour before one of the guys ran over this Black Momba at the property entrance. I'm certainly glad I did not run into one of these while out in the bush. I took this picture from the back of the truck as we drove over it. http://www.dis...

Re: African Water Buck

My total trip was 13 days. The trip started from Austin to Atlanta direct to Johannesburg. If you are flying this is the best / shortest way. 13 hours going and 16 hours return flight to Atlanta. I learned this the hard way. I spent 3 days in the bush at africantrophypursuit.com and then traveled to...

Re: African Water Buck

I don't guess you're having any of them mounted. Seems it would be very expensive for one. I am doing a proper shoulder mount. It would be a terrible shame to not do it properly. They regularly ship trophies to the US. The trip was not incredibly expensive, their rates are very reasonable for what ...

Re: African Water Buck

Thanks Andy, it was an incredible experience. Freddie will be in the Houston area at the end of February if anyone was interested in a get together to answer questions, etc. about their operation. He's meeting clients there. Let me know, and I'll get contact information, coordinate, etc. I would say...

Re: African Water Buck

While visiting, the meals were all African meals. I did have Wildebeast lasagna, which was amazing. I never refused a meal in South Africa, nor did I ever have a bad meal there, particularly with Freddie's wife's cooking. I also contacted the guys with your specific question about edibility and the ...

African Water Buck

The setting for my adventure was just slightly north of the Tropic of Capricorn in the Limpopo region of South Africa. This is the same area where you will find the Kruger national park. When I say, the outfit I chose was well organized, and professional, I cannot stress that enough. It was importan...

Re: walmart asking for chl

<snip> As an Aside, if Walmart has concerns, all they need to do is a simple Attorney General Opinion request to satisfy their concerns. I am betting they will be told to call LEO if they have a concern and not to ask for licenses. This process puts everyone at a disadvantage. In the mean time, if ...

No, not at all. The disqualifying conditions are psychological.
