Re: I am looking for a skilled reloader

Melting and casting silver is several orders of magnitude more difficult than lean. Lead melting point: 621.5°F Silver melting point: 1,763°F While lead can be melted in an electric pot, silver is going to require a furnace. I doubt normal lead-casting molds would work well (or at least very long) ...

Maybe the calendars appointment process should be modified, but, pigs will fly around the same time.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute

I found another gem in the current language of HB 1911. It now appears to apply 46.035 to everyone except peace officers, so it would make displaying a handgun at the range (i.e. in public) illegal, and carrying intoxicated in your house illegal (maybe they intended this, I told you it was coming)....

Re: Think twice about Springfield and RRA

If more manufacturers would do what Ronnie Barrett did I believe more gun laws would come off the books! When California passed a law prohibiting the average citizen from owning a .50 caliber rifle, Mr. Barrett advised the State he would no longer sell his rifles or their parts to any LE agency in ...

Re: I am looking for a skilled reloader

I won't speak for others, but random guy probably can't sell his reloads, although just six rounds probably wouldn't trigger an investigation or trip the livelihood requirement. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/person-who-reloads-ammunition-required-be-licensed-manufacturer Sticking with the companie...

Re: Springfield XDE?

I'm talking about Condition One, loaded chamber, cocked hammer, thumb safety on. I think the question is whether you can activate the thumb safety and still have it cocked. If so, then it would be less safe than carrying a 1911 in condition one since there is no grip safety. It would be helpful to ...

But if it doesn't say "grip zone" how do you know where you are supposed to put your hand?

This always confuses me on all my other firearms.

http://www.guns.com/2017/04/28/springfield-unveils-new-xde-pistol/ OK I'm a bit interested.... ETA: Wonder if they'll have a full size version of this coming in the future? I personally like carrying decocked, no safety, with one in the chamber sometimes. But my 809 doesn't conceal well. Well, befor...

Re: Texas poised to pass 'Sanctuary City' ban with jail penalty

The problem is, someone will appeal the law, and some liberal judge will rule that it infringes on freedom of speech, etc.... I see a possible issue coming up on the 4th amendment. Asking for identification on a simple detention without an arrest/probable cause could be construed as a violation of ...
