Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Happy one year President Trump. Your tolerance and fortitude are remarkable. Better men would have folded and resigned with the onslaught you have had to endure. How none of what he has gone through has not changed Trump is unthinkable. He has really shown how the elite think of us and how both par...

Re: Franklin Armory coming out with non-NFA 11.5” AR variant

I didn't think about a fire on release trigger. If this is the case and is allowed to be made, then hopefully this and the Shockwave, not a shotgun, can start a real movement to repeal the ludicrous NFA. I would be interested if I could buy the component or components that makes this not a NFA item,...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Enjoy your Brawndo! It's got electrolytes! You want to put water on the plants? Like from the toilet? The problem with politics currently is the republicans want to legislate morality, the dems want to force immorality on everyone through legislation, and the libertarians have too many morals...

Re: Savage 25 .223 Walking Varminter

If its a bench gun and you can spend a little more for any of the Savage model 12's, they won't let you down for a $6-700 rifle. Again that's used pricing. I have a .204 and my brother a .22-250 and they are sub MOA without trying.

Re: Petition to save the Alamo Cenotaph

jason812, Thank you. I will vote now...for Texas, not some baloney revisionist touchy feeling crap some anti-Texas moron came up with. Texans are proud of the Alamo - not San Antonio de Valero Mission mishmash crap. When I saw the petition and noticed it was on a website for someone running for off...

Re: Petition to save the Alamo Cenotaph

From Rick Range who is also running for Land Commissioner: https://savethealamo.us/the-second-battle A second Texas Revolution is currently brewing in the Lone Star State. This all comes as a result of a seemingly laudable plan promoted to and passed by the state's legislature some four years ago. T...

Signed, he probably thinks we should give the Alamo to Mexico.

The ATF should be ashamed of themselves. This was clearly somebody's party favors and were going to have one heck of a good time.

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

Not exactly related to BCG or optic but is relevant to a 300 pistol. A friend of mine built a 300 pistol and had a lot of issues getting it to run right. Finally got a H2 buffer and put in it, so you might want to start with a heavier buffer as well. Mine was dinging the cases at the mouth from hit...

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

I run supersonic as it is not my home defense weapon so I'm not worried about the noise. Until suppressors are taken off the NFA, I will not have one but that discussion is not for this thread. All I know about sub reliability is what I've read and will let somebody with actual knowledge chime in......

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

If you are going to leave it on for defensive purposes, get back up irons. Magpul MBUS are very popular and for a good reason. I wouldn't rely solely on a battery if my life was on the line. Aimpoint is known for battery life. Unfortunately they are pricey and the models with exceptional battery lif...

Re: 300BLACKOUT pistol build suggestions

I agree with TAM. I can't comment on the battery life of other red dot's but my Aimpoint PRO on my AR pistol that stays in a backpack in the car is left on constantly. I change it every 6 months or so just to be on the safe side due to extreme temperature extremes. BCG depends like everything, how m...

Re: Remington 870 DM???

This would be neat if it could use the normal mag tube as a backup or extra capacity. Load the tube, load the mage, when the mag is empty, it feeds from the tube. Other than that, it doesn't do much for me. Now if my SLP could be converted to a magazine, that might be a different story.

Re: 10/22 Optics Recommendations

I run a Nikon fixed 4 power on mine with a Wiegand one piece scope mount. The scope isn't made anymore and I believe I paid slightly over $100 for it at the time. For my needs, 4x is plenty. I'm not shooting targets with it, and the skunks and rabbits seem like they don't like it very well. I have a...
