That was pretty good. Made me chuckle.

Re: Put one in the chamber, or don't carry it!

You don't drive around with your seatbelt off and say, "I'll have time to fasten it before the wreck."

Re: Rotary has adopted policies hostile to firearms

This may come as a bit of a shock but I think most, if not all, mainstream Christian denominations denounce guns in their official policies. The Rotarians are not alone in this stance. I know the Methodist church does. And I have talked to several senior pastors, including mine, who are all perfect...

Re: "Rich" man attacked in VA

I don't care about ethnicity, sex, or age. If you are big enough to swing a hammer at my face you are big enough to kill me with it. You try to kill me I'm going to put holes in you until you stop being a threat or I run out of bullets.

Re: What oil/lube do you use

Slip2000EWL here as well. First was Hoppe's, then Breakfree CLP, and now the Slip. To be honest it all seemed to work just fine. I also had someone tell me I used too much lube on a pistol. Is the gun malfunctioning? Is there rust? Are you paying for the lube? Unless the answer to any of those is ye...

Re: Please Recommend Eye Protection

I have two pairs of Wiley X with the interchangeable lenses. They are extremely difficult to change out the first several times. I mainly use the shaded and clear lenses. I've never had to put them to the test, but they are comfortable and fit under earmuffs well.

Re: On Going Outside to Investigate Noises

If I hear noises outside, my plan is to open the bedside safe, hand my wife the revolver, and tell her to go into the closet and call 911. I will then grab the SA, head carefully up the stairs, get the kids all in one room, and then lay down and cover the top of the stairs. Not ideal, but the best ...

Re: On Going Outside to Investigate Noises

I wouldn't go outside unless I had too. I'd rather be on hold for 20 minutes, and wait another 20 for the police to show up than have this happen. I don't have anything outside my home worth getting shot over. Maybe if I still lived on the ranch and they were in the barn stealing horses or equipment...

Re: AR mags

I have some mags that get used for training only. Those stay unloaded, so I can load whatever the instructor wants as far as round count and dummy rounds. Other than those, all my mags are loaded. Pistol or AR doesn't matter.

Re: 2017 NRA Board of Directors Election

If we don't get a ballot in the mail by the end of the week, just call the 877 number I'm guessing? Called and was told since I get a digital copy of the magazine, that my ballot will be arriving later. I'll post when it shows up. Ballot arrived sometime between 2/18, and 2/20. Was in the box today.

Multiple Intruders

Why I like to sleep with my AR next to my bed. First couple of shots would probably send them running, but still like having the extra rounds.
