Re: Do you shoot a handgun with both eyes open?

Usually both eyes open. Notable exceptions being a telescopic sight, or a peep sight.

Re: well, ladies and gents....it's here!

Interesting. I'd give it a try and see how I like it. As for looks I don't care. I don't need a hammer to be a work of art, I just need it to put nails in stuff. Same thing with a gun. I don't need it to be beautiful, I just need it to work. If it is both great, but I'm not going to pay extra for pr...

Re: School Safety Certification - Ammo Requirements as of 1-11-17

I always bring 50-100% more ammo than a class requires. You can always bring it back home with you, but kind of difficult to shoot it if you don't have it.

Re: Do you wear gloves when cleaning your guns?

Always wear the disposable nitrile gloves to keep any sweat or fingerprints off the metal parts that could cause rust. Got me a hundred pack at Wal Mart. Was just wondering if it's overkill about like wearing a helmet to ride a bicycle to the corner store. I get mine from Harbor Freight when I have...

Re: Any one have experience with Armscor 9mm Ammunition ?

I've shot their .380 and .45. Was decent enough ammo. No problems with it, don't recall it being super dirty or anything. Only thing I disliked was the .45 trays were styrofoam and little beads of it would go all over the place including a few into the gun. Never caused any problems, just annoying. ...

Re: DFW area: Pistol instructor recommendations

Proactive Defense north of Fort Worth has a couple good people. If you can get Chris or Doug Rainey for private instruction they can really help you out.

I'd agree with the bill of sale. Never had any troubles, but seems the easiest way to protect yourself.

Re: XD, XDS, just any of them blah...

I had a 4.5" 9mm XDM. I liked the grip, and how it shot. The take down for it was amazing. I did not like the grip safety, the loaded chamber indicator, and the cocked indicator. The latter two nothing the interfered with anything, I just wasn't a fan of them and thought they were unnecessary. ...

Re: Authorites Dump Crates of Guns in Chicago Hood???

Worst conspiracy theory I've heard in a while. If crates of free guns really were being dumped on the streets of Chicago, I'd be making a road trip. Anyone else want to split a passenger van & trailer? Only a 14 hour drive from Dallas. I'd be down for it. Let's just find out exactly when these ...

Re: Smith & Wesson Unveils New M&P M2.0 Pistol for 2017

I didn't like the way the trigger worked on the normal MP9mm that I had. The hinge on a hinge design was no good for me. I kept grabbing it too far up, and not being able to fire. So I don't see me giving this new one a try with the same style trigger in it. Other than that I enjoyed it.

Re: Gun was pointed at us. Should we feel safe ?

My dad, who taught me gun safety. He taught me the 4 rules of gun safety. Never actually laid them out in order, but he taught me them. Taught me to lay my rifle/shotgun on the ground if I needed to cross a fence, not lean it against the fence. Years ago when I was in junior high school, he almost s...

Re: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SMALL COMPACT SEMI FOR PETITE LADY

The Walther CCP 9 has a lighter recoil spring for easier handling of the slide and the recoil is much lighter than most other compacts. Just something to consider. Field stripping it annoying though. At least for my girlfriend, it doesn't tolerate limp wristing well. Does have a lighter recoil, but...

Re: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SMALL COMPACT SEMI FOR PETITE LADY

My girlfriend had an easier time with my Springfield XDM 9mm the full size 19 rounder, than she does with her Walther CCP 9mm. Only thing that gave her trouble was the grip safety. Might try the Bersa 380 for her. I owned one of those and they are decent little pistols.

Bloomberg should just give me that money. I would put it to much better use. I'd have bought all those evil guns and brought them home.
