Re: Knowing Now Are You Still Participating in Face Book?

I have no social media accounts...other than LinkedIn, and only use that to see what's going on professionally.
After too many years as a foreign security contractor, I really DON'T want to have my life and my families life broadcast to the world.
Don't miss it at all.

Re: Stay Alert!

I really don’t know where to ask this question so I made this account to ask. I live with my stepfather. My stepfather is a felon. There are no guns in the house at all. The only gun I keep anywhere near the property is my 1911 in my glove box of my car. Within the next week I plan on getting my LT...

Re: Stop the Bleeding

University Health System in San Antonio is offering Stop the Bleed courses every month. The training is free (1 hr course) and could help you save a life by the use of direct pressure and tourniquet. The training is conducted once a month (first Monday of the month from 4PM to 5PM). A link to regist...

Re: Joining the CZ Club

I bought a CZ75 BD when I got back into law enforcement but was unable to find a Class II or III retention holster for it...so sold it for a Glock 23. Miss that weapon (the CZ), was probably the most accurate out of the box weapon I've EVER fired. Might see if I can find me another one for a decent ...

Re: So....Does anyone still shoot .40 ????

I have a .40 that I carry in warmer weather (Taurus PT140 G2). Lighter weapon for the summer months. In the "winter" (Texas here), I either carry my Ruger P89 (9MM) or my P90 (.45). Like my .45....both the P89 & P90 are heavy weapons but solid platforms. Regards, :patriot: { MP } :txfl...

Re: LTC and Rehab

Thank you. I noted on the DPS site that there's the ability to download the statutes that cover LTC. Might download it and read it a little further. He might have to get a the Dr's certification that he was released successfully. I don't remember seeing anything on the online renewal....but.... Any ...

LTC and Rehab

Hello all: Have a question for anyone who might know the answer. I have a good friend who has his LTC. He is a veteran and firefighter who has gone through (and was a success) at a drug rehab center. He told me that his LTC was coming up for renewal and wonders if this matter is going to be an issue...

Re: Full size carry

Ruger P-89DC (or P-90DC, depending on how I feel that day).
On off days I carry my Taurus PT140 Millenium G2. Again, depends on wardrobe and temperature/humidity.
Like the feel of steel on my hip....even though it's heavier.

Re: Morse Code Man -- Superhero!

Have a nice Elecraft K2 that I built a few years ago. Fantastic radio that is WAY more than I need for casual QRP traffic (less than 5W). Using a 10-40 dipole @ 30 ft. Great for overall work and I usually get a 5-9 report. Amazes people that I'm only running 5-10 watts of power. :patriot: <MP> :txfl...

Re: What happens to ammo and a house fire??

Many years ago I lived in a "trailer park" outside of Manhattan, KS (was assigned to Ft Riley). It was a circular park and in the middle was an old WWII Quonset hut that was used for storage of maintenance equipment. Nobody knew (except for the owner, I guess) that it had a LARGE supply of...
