Re: .50 cal with integral silencer, no tax stamp, no FFL...

I like to imagine that somewhere, an ATF analyst or other individual responsible for drafting the rule that "a muzzleloader is not a firearm" is sweating bullets right now. Good job to SilencerCo for thinking outside the box and getting these out there for everyone.

Looking for Transportation/Operations Management position in DFW/Austin/San Antonio area

Currently working for a Class I railroad, the catch is my family and home are in Burleson, but the work is in Springfield, MO. Trying to get back to either the Fort Worth area where home is, or back to the Central Texas area where I went to school. Have 10+ years of experience working for the RR and...

Re: So it begins.

[ IF I were to build another, I'd do it on the cheap. YMMV. Would tend to agree with this statement. I have three SBR'd AR lowers, two have dedicated 5.56 uppers, the third is a PSA lower that plays host to a budget 8.5" 300 BLK upper, a 9.25" AR-22 upper, and any number of other "to...

Re: So it begins.

Nice choice! You'll love the Aero stuff. This is a 12.5" Texas Aero lower with their M4E1 upper, Aero rail and the Aimpoint Pro. Paired all this up with a Gemtech suppressed BCG for ease of swapping between suppressed/un-suppressed shooting; also has a JP Silent Gen 2 buffer. Probably my favori...

Smaller crowd this month but nice to talk to everyone that was able to make it. Hoping we can get a good crowd in October.

Re: M&P 15/22s Banned At Appleseed Events After Out Of Battery and “Run Away” Discharges

^^^Interesting. I read your more lengthy post on RimefireCentral and was kind of shocked by the way the AS folks/forum was handling this. You'll see by my comments on page one of this topic that I'm not really buying their reasoning for the ban. Has really put a sour taste in my mouth for possibly a...

Bumping this one back up so others see it; looking forward to breakfast in a couple weeks.

Next meet-up will be 9/16/17.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one to try out.

Good stop/contact with Gunter, TX PD

This past Thursday I was headed south down Hwy 75 just south of Sherman. It was about 8:30 in the evening, so starting to get pretty dark. As a crested a hill I saw taillights are far south as I could see. At the same time a TXDOT truck was stopped putting out orange "Incident Ahead" signs...

So can I go ahead and throw out September 16th as a proposal for the next breakfast? That'd be the Saturday before the training class for any going to that.

Re: New Gun Range opened in Argyle Texas

Maybe it's just me, but this picture from their photo album doesn't instill a lot of confidence. It may be all due to camera angle, and each may have a very clear lane ahead of them, but I would not want to be in any of the front rows knowing that someone has holding a gun like that behind me. https...

Can't wait to take my daughter shooting when she's ready. She's 4.5 now, so I still have some time. That said as with everything she's growing up way too fast and it will be time before too long.

Re: Sig 226 debate...

I'm with Scott B here. The Legion is nice, but I don't think you get your bang for the proverbial $ there. A nice stainless Elite is my sweet spot for price/features. That said even a plain Jane 226 is a great gun. As a matter of fact, my only remaining 226 is just that. Basic gun that I added NS an...
