Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?

So President Trump wants to take away some gun rights...hmmmm....Why isn't he more aggressively pushing national conceal carry to promote gun rights--you know, like he campaigned he would? HELLO! Hillary of course wanted to ban the AR 15 rifle completely and make it PERMANENT--at least President Tru...

Re: NRA vs CNN Tonight 9PM

CNN loves to push anti-gun propaganda---this is just one example. Notice CNN did not do a "town-hall" of grannies robbed and assaulted in their apartments by thugs with the grannies either having guns to protect themselves or wishing they had guns. Questions from the audience welcome....ye...

Re: Hunter/Pastor killed - Be sure of your target

You are out hunting and you see/hear "something"....there is a "good shot" and a "bad shot"--- The good shot--you have identified your target and you know it is safe. If it is a good distance away you have even put your binoculars on it to make sure. You have ruled out ...

Bad News from the Scotus--Again

Supreme Court declined to hear the California case imposing a ten day waiting period on the purchase of firearms.

Loved the Thomas dissent.

Congrats! You received faster service than I have--I am still waiting. On-line application submitted for renewal: Jan. 31, 2018. Only "check-list" items required are the fingerprints and photo which the DPS said they would take care of unless I heard back from them. Have not heard back fr...

Let's hope there is sufficient security video and other evidence to arrest this monster quickly. My gut also says hit---hmmm wonder what that could be about....

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

I heard there was an armed deputy---somewhere. Did not see any report where he/she was when the shooting began. If it was a huge school then obviously more than one armed deputy/teacher was needed. There is now a time-line of some of the events as they unfolded. One over at Fox News has a response t...

Re: My Valentine's Day present to me - a Mossy 590

That is a fine shotgun. I may get one myself.

Debating on it or the 590A1 which has a better barrel, metal trigger guard, and metal safety switch. Don't know that it is worth the cost difference though.

Re: Not watching the Superbowl

Not watching! I was appalled that the NFL let's players make political statements but then denied a Veteran group's public service announcement because it was "political". They hypocrisy of the NFL is indefensible. At the rate the NFL is going, NFL will stand for "Not For Long" ...

Re: "Waiting Room"

Last night filled out my license renewal application on-line. Took all of about 15 minutes between reading and responding to the various questions and reviewing the applicable statutes then giving them my credit-card information. Cost me a little north of thirty-seven bucks. Not bad at all. Now the ...

Was there body-cam or other video of the incident? If so, what does it show, if anything? If it exists will law enforcement release it? Many questions to be answered here.

Re: Mossberg. Have they improved?

I recommend that you carefully handle the one you are thinking about purchasing. You can tell a lot from the "feel." My newly acquired Mossberg 500 from a couple of years ago had light primer strikes right out of the box. I sent it back to Mossberg and it works fine now with no issues. Hav...

Re: Pregnant nanny, 24, dies after being hit by stray bullet in Arizona desert popular for target shooting

I will make some general comments which should be common sense to folks on this forum: 1. Shooting ranges have a backstop for a reason. 2. When hunting make it a point to always shoot "down." That is why deer hunters use deer-blinds that sit off the ground. The greater the downward angle o...
