Re: Clearing Overgrown Land

As I said, I don't have the trespass problem you have but I have the place fenced and posted. I personally would not put spike strips down as that sounds like a good way to get sued when someone gets hurt. Might be a good way to flush them out, they trespassed, and are admitting to it so then, you ...

... I figure I may be able to set up some game camera's and try to catch licenses plates of vehicles coming and going and maybe turn it into the sheriff after it's posted, though not sure what good it will do. ... I have the same problem on some property we own. Take a piece of 2x10 lumber a couple...

Re: Traffic Violation

I find the advice to just not speed or break the law a little insulting. Perfectly safe and law-abiding people get pulled over all the time. Your tail light might be burnt out, you might match the description of a person of interest, or be driving a car that matches a description. There are any numb...

Re: Thoughts on [Pre-paid legal service]

I decided for the 10 bucks a month or so, that it was worth it if nothing else to have a lawyer to contact if a situation arises and I need representation at the time of the event. I think it'll be worth it for that alone. I feel like its cheaper than paying a retainer fee to have a lawyer on standb...

Re: Cannot Be Recovered By Any Other Means

One of the videos I watched about this also expressed a concept I wouldn't have thought about - it suggested 'cannot be recovered by any other means' could apply to the fact that you couldn't physically stop them stealing it without using force - ie you were wearing flip flops or high hills and woul...

Re: Merriam Webster is anti

Merriam Webster and other dictionaries, in general, tend to adapt to the commonly accepted use of language/words. So them adding the typical uninformed dumbass's view to the definition isn't surprising to me, just sad that is an accepted definition.

Re: Houston: Mother Pistol-whipped and Robbed in IKEA Parking Lit

I understand 30.06 was thought necessary back in the 90s. I understand the recent change to a class C fine makes it small taters in practical terms. I don't understand why a business can prohibit a concealed handgun worn by someone with a LTC but can't prohibit a concealed Koran carried by someone ...

Re: Fl Non Resident permit

My question is I recently found out that CHL holders do not have to have a background check done when purchasing. Is this only for TX permits or any permit that is valid? If so what do I do? Just go in pick out the weapon and notify the gun shop person that I have a CHL and show it and just pay and...

Freedom of Speech is outdated, Freedom of Religion is outdated, so on and so-forth. So to answer the questions -...

Re: Interesting going out in public as a LTC

Agree with what others have said. Only people who have asked me if I was carrying was my Wife and close friends/family that know I carry. And they were asking because they couldn't tell - wanted to make sure because I think the idea of one of us having a gun made them feel safer. Funny thing is, yes...

Another option appears to be to click on the 'people' icon/tab at the bottom next to Mail and Calander. https://www.howtogeek.com/173144/how-to-open-the-full-contact-editing-window-in-outlook-2013/ This appears to bring you directly to your contacts so you can search and edit them from that window p...

Re: Microsoft Outlook question re: searching contacts

Charles - are these locally saved contacts or global address book users ? For my company's O365 email, we have an exchange server with a global address list that is being pushed out by the server - these contacts can't be edited because they are maintained by Active Directory. The edit button does n...

Re: IN: Cop shoots at faux bank robber

Most cities require a city permit to film a movie. Which I think includes hiring police officers. I would be afraid being an actor having a gun pointed at me by a faux robber on a cheap movie like this. I believe the requirement to have a permit would be if you are shooting in public - they were sh...
