Re: Campus carry mix-up

I smell loop-hole... So an ISD rents/leases a building to another learning institution - in this case Liberty ISD has Leased to Lee College. The grounds/facility is no longer under the control of the ISD, so I wonder if the weapons free zone would still apply? Or is this building just part of a larg...

Re: another 30.06 question

Thank you very much for all the great replies, this is a very helpful community  . I really wish the antigun crowd knew what great people the vast majority of carry advocates are. If there is someone here with direct knowledge of this I would appreciate them setting me straight, but I think ...

Re: another 30.06 question

CZp10 - welcome to the forums. You've just expressed some of the same frustrations most of us feel as well. Now I would say you are overthinking the criminal element part of the sign a little more than needed. A Class C is nothing more than civil disobedience, it's like getting a speeding ticket. In...

Re: Dallas activists press for Confederate monument to come down

It is true that he said things against the "peculiar institution", however he was just a politician and played both sides when it suited his agenda which was to save the Union. Even at the cost of our blood. I don't even think it was about saving the Union, based on some more modern narra...

Re: Maxim 9

I watched several test demos from shotshow this year about the Maxim 9 - I rather like them minus the bulkiness... I'm kinda holding out/hoping that maybe a Gen 2 will reduce some of the bulk/size.

Re: Road rager points knife that looks like gun

So had someone shot her in self-defense, they would have been justified because it looks like a gun. But how is it assault with a deadly weapon for pointing a knife at someone? :headscratch

Re: Houston TX: another day and another horrific murder/robbery here.

HPD is between 800 and 1500 officers short on any given day. They are hiring already certified peace officers from other agencies also. If anybody wants to change agencies, or change careers, to start out on deep nights going from crazy call to crazy call to crazy call all night long with Tuesdays ...

Re: Houston TX: another day and another horrific murder/robbery here.

Has anyone else heard or aware of the current situation for Houston Police patrols? I'm not sure where exactly my buddy read it(looked for the article and couldn't find it), but he said he found an article just the other day about the shortage of patrols. I know there has been a shortage of officers...

Re: Trailblazer Lifecard 22LR

Have to unfold it to use it or load it and the owner's manual states it's not to be carried while loaded.

If you can't carry it while loaded, not sure what the point would be beyond novelty.

Re: Is it legal? Sign split in two...

Wow, really technical. I would say a sign on a glass door is still a sign. Black technically is the absence of color and yet everyone accepts black as being a contrasting acceptable "color" for a sign. The Black color spectrum when talking about light spectrum is the absence of light - wh...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off

I've heard (never seen the law/statute to back it up, so I've always taken it with a grain of salt) that unmarked peace officer vehicles weren't allowed to make traffic stops?

Once again, everyone needs to read this book to understand the origins and the unbridled dishonesty of elected officials to betray the rights of American citizens: "Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America’s Police Forces" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3M3UFQ/ref=dp-kindle-r...
