Re: In your home with workmen present

I don't carry 24/7 - I carry just about every time I leave the 'house'(live in an apartment). I typically take my gun off when I come in and set it on the counter/bar. However, the couple of times maintenance has needed to come in while I was home, I hid any guns I typically keep out, IE my AR and p...

Re: GAAA... I'm so confused......

I will throw out a recommendation - if you don't own a Walther already, maybe consider a Walther PPQ - M1 or M2 style (personally I like the paddle release so I'm partial to the M1) - Its one of my favorite guns to shoot. Also found out recently they make a competition version of the PPQ - http://ww...

Dwhale - Welcome to the forums. Ignore some of the crusty [language unsafe for forum use] users. We are not all a bad lot. Just so you know, your final disposition is the information on the case, your charges/sentence, etc. When you reapply as part of the process you will have to answer if you have...

Re: Why do we need 30.06/7?

My thought has always been that as long as we say businesses that are open to the public must abide by certain laws/regulations(ie have handicap parking and handicap access ramp, etc) why is it any different to say you must allow carry or else give verbal notice. Its no more of an infringement of pr...

Re: Getting my CHL back after DWI Suspension

Troll? :iagree: There's been a lot of questionable first posts lately. I'm still trying to figure out what is "questionable" about a guy going straight to the source (a website called TexasCHLforum.com) to ask a question about his CHL. Give me a break dude. Paranoid much? Dwhale - don't t...

Maybe contact a lawyer to help you navigate/investigate any possible legal loopholes/hurdles you need to overcome or if its even possible to do legally?

Re: TX: Sutherland Springs church 26 dead 20 injured in mass shooting

We had a speaker at our work today, doing a Self Defense Saftey Meeting - he said he heard the Church in Sutherland had a 'no gun policy' - didn't say if it had any posted signage or not - anyone heard this?

Re: Gun rights for a Felon?

Several people advocating for someone who commits a crime to not serve their punishment, to me, that means that you are ok with that crime if you don't want them to be punished. So you know and trust that a government can't become tyrannical? Does it never abuse powers such as targeting conservativ...

I know this is an old topic, but just curious if anyone has had any experience with this place since the topic was originally posted? They recently came to my attention and apparently offer some firearm pistol training, and was considering it depending on the cost.

I know it has been unseasonably warm, but I wouldn't expect much Snake activity this time of the year. I mean, always stay vigilant but not sure its much of a concern.

Re: Self-driving shuttle bus in crash on first day

Well isn't that the catch 22 - even if the self-driving/antonymous cars are perfect with their driving, they have to be perfect and be able to handle bad drivers. Until that happens don't expect they'll be rolled out in Houston.
