Re: Well Driller Recommendation

I have one verbal quote of about $50k not from Lovelace mentioned above. This was $29 a foot to drill 1k feet. Wow!!! Water table here much lower - 400ft is considered deep. Can set a well at 100ft. I'm paying for new well for new house, 200ft, $8,060.00 which includes up to 50ft of hookup to new h...

Re: Pregnant nanny, 24, dies after being hit by stray bullet in Arizona desert popular for target shooting

If I had the time, I could pull at least 6 posts from just the last year on our community Facebook page where reports of cars being hit, porch post, fences, and whizzing bullets heard through folks' yards - all target/plinker shooting. Lived here 57 years without such carelessness going on. It ain'...

Re: Oregon Governor signs bill effectively confiscating guns

This is a very challenging topic. We keep saying that it's not the gun but it's the person that does the harm with the guns. So, quit blaming the guns and focus on the people that are troubled and may do something to harm themselves or someone else with a gun. If we are going to keep placing the re...

Ancillary to my bow building, I used to be pretty deep into the world of slingshot. Commercially, in the slingshot world, these guys are the better recommends. That's not saying a whole lot as simple a weapon as they are, but they do carry a high reputation among enthusiasts: https://simple-shot.co...

Re: Blindsided

One thing I do is circle around the pumps and get a eye for who may be loitering around, vehicles parked away from the store. Don't just pull into the first available pump, especially in a unfamiliar area. If it looks shady, try a different station. I had to make a turnaround late night and using A...

Re: Beretta 92 Compact

Thanks, folks! The curb appeal of the full size just hit me as I was looking at an 1871 open top of all things that was sitting beside it. Getting highly interested in the coimpacts. The subs I don't know, though.

Beretta 92 Compact

If you've carried or carry one of these, what are your thoughts? The reason I ask is because while I love my Sig P938, my larger hands "might" like a slightly larger frame. I have not seen or handled the 92 Compact, only the big brothers, the latter which before never really caught my atte...

Re: Residence Issue

Infoman, thanks! Yes, I plan to change CL then LTC exactly same and prefer fewer changes possible. I assume a red flag would be raised if I held them differently.

Spectre, thanks! Sounds like a workable plan given I don't have control of any time-frame.

Re: Residence Issue

We built a new house, it took six months to complete. After selling our prior house, we moved into an apartment for the 6 months while the house was built. I changed my LTC and DL to the new apartment after selling the old house, then again when we took residency at the new house. I believe that yo...

Residence Issue

I have a residence, the one on my LTC and TDL, that I keep and maintain and have full utilities still active in my name. The issue is that I vacated in order to make ready for sale, have put on market, and I have other places to live in the meantime. Technically have no "permanent" residen...
