Re: London Bridge: Another terror attack

Just worked my way thru this thread; a few observations - re: what if somebody targets muslims? Well, we're seeing that now..... - re: why don't that good muslims drive out, turn in, re-educate the radicals/imams/etc. Oh you mean the way the moderate blacks here in the US have dealt with Farakhan, J...

Re: Lethal thumb nail

My friends chased down a robber. He had no visable weapon and was very slight in stature ( 5' 8" 120 lbs..... Heroin addict). He was chased down, cornered and they moved in to restrain him. He began flaying his hand at them wildly. He was taken down and they found he had a piece of razor blade...

Re: The Dangers of Shooting On Concrete

The posts here got me curious, so I read the news article and then 'walked' the area in Google Maps Street View. So I'm commenting on a hypothetical situation based on information that is both limited and probably significantly incorrect (when does media reporting ever get things accurate), but I'm ...

Re: The Second protects the First.

Amen! I'm starting to wonder if Orwell for his book 1984 had a crystal ball. Political correctness has been allowed to become the realm of the Thought Police. Those who are making up fake news are attempting to stop those who are actually speaking for free speech. Take away the ability of self defe...

I call Bravo Sierra. Unless you have pictures,if you don't have pictures it didn't happen. On the other hand, they are still good stories. Remember when you were a kid and there was this monthly publication the very mention of which probably violates one or another forum rule but, speaking of forum...

Re: I just had a reality check

Isn't that instance why the army went to 45. During the boar war the people were high so when they were hit by 38 cal bullets they kept going. I believe you're thinking about the Moro Rebellion in the Phillipines around 1900. (US Army vs. indigenous (muslim) tribes). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M...

Re: Shooting targets from a zip line

Coleman Gun Club had an annual benefit match for the local 4-H chapter. One of the stages was "The Train" where you sat in a(n outhouse sized) moving pullman car and engaged targets thru the (side) windows. My score on that stage was abysmal. :oops: The zipline kind of reminds me of that -...

<facepalm>

Let's take this farce to it's lowest denouement. Let's run with Anthony Burgess's idea from "A Clockwork Orange". Let's recruit the ex-cons to BE cops. That should speed up Kalifornia's implosion.....

Re: Would you want to live in America where everyone carried a gun?

American of whatever age, would have to go to baseball practice, or to school, or to work, or to the post office, or to the health clinic — or to any of the other places mass shootings now take place — with a gun on their hip Sounds good to me, sign me up for that reality. :hurry: Uh, have to get r...

Re: Where to begin with a HAM radio?

I notice a lot of folks here are capitalizing "HAM", like it is some kind of acronym or abbreviation. It is not. It is a noun or adjective, depending on use. The origin is obscure, and much debated. It is just - Ham - as in Ham Radio Operator, or He/She is a Ham. According to Google; Well...
