Re: Essential long gun collection

ml1209 wrote:What would say would be good to have?

A pump-action 12 ga
A rifle in .308, either in bolt-action or semi-auto
An AR-15 in 5.56
A .22LR rifle, either in bolt-action, lever-action, or semi-auto

Does that pretty much cover it

:thumbs2: Except I would stick with bolt actions for the .308 and 22LR

Re: Good Summer Sausage?

I went to Kroger and bought a tube of their Private Selection Summer Sausage. They also carry Blue Ribbon Brand Summer Sausage. Since I like their bacon I bought it also. Looking at a slice of each brand, I noticed that the Kroger sausage was finer in texture. The Blue Ribbon has a courser grind and...

Re: Should I just go with Bravo?

I have no experience with Safariland or Bravo holsters that you mentioned.

I like the Fobus Evolution Paddle Holster for my Beretta PX-4 Storm SC.
They are well designed and well made. They are about $25. I use mine all of the time. :tiphat:

No, it's a bottom feeder.

Re: Good Summer Sausage?

I stopped by Prasek's on the way home last Monday and bought some of their Beef Summer Sausage. I tried it tonight along side some Kroger brand. The Prasek's is good, but the Kroger's has a better overall flavor to me. I wouldn't turn down the Prasek's on a party tray. The hardest part tonight was ...

The "story" makes me wonder if the guy was actually trying to break into the house or maybe
was he [loudly] banging on the door.

Re: 80 blocks of C4 and Claymores found buried in Arizona desert.

Crazy thing is it's relatively safe as long there is no blasting cap. Yep, had to be pretty safe to handle under most circumstances. Some guys did dumb things with it, one of them being eating small amounts. Supposedly small amounts ingested cause some temporary craziness but I never saw that first...

Re: invest in a belt!!!

WildBill, Your posts are always good. Me, I've been through a number of high quality gun belts, but I've only suffered a failure when the screws backed out on my kydex holster, out crashed my Glock to the concrete as I was exiting the truck. Not the belts fault, but something quite frightening to h...
