Re: How do you train at the range?

I try to shoot a action match once per month. It is lots of fun since I can draw, shoot and reload. Of course you are timed and graded for shot placement and is a competition, but I go really just for my own skill improvement. I can also gather some pointers or technique improvements from others. Us...

Re: ER nurse illegally detained?

Definite arrest, not detained, in my opinion. Question. If she had resisted, then could she have been charged with resisting? How can you be charged with resisting if it was not in fact an arrest? It was an arrest. This officer must be fired and prosecuted. I support law enforcement whole heartedly,...

Re: a day of many first and a few questions

My wife just recently purchased a CC purse at Cabelas.
It was a nice one and she uses it.
Also.....
For our anniversary in September, she wanted a shotgun for skeet. Told her I would need to buy a reloaded press for 28ga shells, she said go ahead.

What a great wife God sent to me!

Re: I finally decided to do it

In the military I was taught noise and light discipline ( no noise, no lights ), so I kinda favor not having a light on a weapon. I prefer not to broadcast my location or provide a target. But that is just my preference.

Re: The 1911 plunge

I have the Ruger SR1911 Commander and I love it! I Iike the balance of a 4.25" barrel. I put some Hogue grips on it and some nice fancy shiny grip screws. Would send a picture but sitting in a hospital helping my father. Carry it in a Milt Sparks IWB holster, be sure to get a really good belt. ...

The wife and I both have 9mm Shields, I carry it when not carrying a 1911.
They are excellent 9mm guns.

Thanks to everyone for the input.
Leaning heavily towards the Victory.
Now, sell a gun to buy the Victory or just buy it outright?
Ask wife for permission or forgiveness later on?
Life is full questions, thanks again to all!

Victory 22LR or 1911-22 - Any onwers out there?

Greetings, Last weekend I participated in an action pistol match at NTSA and used my SA 1911A1 45ACP. Had lots of fun and can't wait for next match next month. There is also a rimfire action pistol match about once a month and I am looking at the S&W Victory 22lr for that match or the Browning 1...

I use On Your 6 Design, just google it.
It is IWB, but I have used it for two years.
Easy on, easy off, conceals very well.

Re: Happy Father's Day!

Thanks for the post and link TAM. Had a great Father's Day myself, our only son went out of his way all day to show his love. I tell my wife, the best thing I ever did ( besides accepting Christ ) was to marry her, the best thing "we" ever did was adopt our son, now 10 years old. Our son i...

Re: Renewal Time Very Quick

Wife renewed hers online on 6-1, arrived in mail on 6-15.
She could have waited until after Sept 1st (since hers was to expire in Nov.) to take advantage of the lower fee, but thought there might be a rush of renewals after Sep 1st, so she went ahead and renewed at the higher fee.

Re: Carry Belts

Have a brown Beltman for wearing with jeans, have a black one for Sunday best.
I am a firm believer in having a really good belt, otherwise you may be disappointed with any holster on a poor belt.
