Re: New Year's eve arrest at Houston Hyatt

Do we even know if he had an LTC or not? If not, then 30.06/.07 don't apply. but I haven't read anything that says he had an LTC. Good point, I assume he had an LTC. However, if he has no LTC, then he would be guilty of carrying concealed without a license. Law says he can keep concealed in his veh...

Re: New Year's eve arrest at Houston Hyatt

It looks like Houston PD got this right in the end. He was a registered guest in the hotel, so 30.06 / 30.07 would not apply to the handguns he had in his room, and would obviously never apply to the AR. Plus it doesn't look like he was actually carrying any guns while he was intoxicated. . I belie...

Re: New Year's eve arrest at Houston Hyatt

Good news!
However, guns and alcohol should not be mixed.

Re: New Year's eve arrest at Houston Hyatt

I have stayed at this hotel. It is posted, also posted on its website, not that I agree, but it is posted. So it is what it is. He concealed and carried to his room. This hotel is not cheap, to stay there on New Years eve just makes it more expensive, so I doubt the guy is there just for a gun show....

Re: Ruger announces pistol caliber carbine in 9mm

In the most recent pistol match that I participated in, there were 35 participants, 11 were using PCCs.
So I would say they are becoming very popular. It was also my observation that many of the more “mature” participants preferred the PCCs. Easy to shoot and manage recoil I suppose.

Re: Anyone Watch "Live PD"?

Wife and I watch it every Friday and Saturday night.
Borrowed my brothers old truck and checked the license plate lights, they were out.
So I replaced the bulbs.

Re: Considering a Shield 9mm

I have one and wife has one. Been carrying mine all day today.
Went to church this morning, went to lunch, went back to church for a recital, went home, went back to church for a Christmas program, just got home, watching ball game, it’s still on my right hip as I write this. I like it.

Re: Corrected Vision Shooting

Tough problem for me, without bifocals, I can’t see the front sight.
Always have my head tilted back to focus on the front post, but then the target is very blurred.
Still do not have good solution yet.

Re: AZ: Police release graphic video of officer involved shooting of Texas man

I simply can’t justify the officer shooting that young man to death. He was prone on the floor and should have been cuffed. However, I would like to point out that getting drunk ( 1st mistake in this situation) and then pointing what looks to be a weapon out a window ( 2nd mistake in this situation)...

Re: Quality range time today

Yes, outdoor is the best. I am a member of North Texas Shooters Assoc. I waited about one year until I was able to buy a membership from someone that moved away. There is a waiting list, get on the list, if someone moves away or other life change, then an email goes out if the membership is for sale...

Another vote for Beltman, I have two, one brown and one black.
The belt and the holster is a “system” , you need both, makes all the difference in the world.

Re: Need help finding a holster

My wife just bought me a new M&P9 M2.0 Shield 3.1" barrel and with the built in laser site. I've been searching for a holster but haven't found one that fits yet. Anyone have any ideas as to where to look. On Your 6 Designs. Very light weight IWB. Made in San Antonio. Easy on and off your ...
