Re: Obama commutes sentence of Chelsea Manning

I really don't understand. So he/she leaks stuff to wikileaks, gets 35 years and is pardoned. Podesta gets fished, his emails get on wikileaks. No real proof of Russia behind it and boom. 10,000 troops moved to Russia's boarder, diplomats expelled, and sanctioning on Russia. I DON'T GET IT! :confus...

Re: Anti's at the Capitol Today

Typical shoddy journalism/editing by the Statesman. They state that the protestors are gathering to "speak out against permitless carry legislation – what critics have dubbed a “guns everywhere” bill – that would allow weapons in places such as bars, sports arenas and schools" What they d...

Re: Shooting Kroger's In Bedford

If I am not mistaken the man who died did have firearm. It would be a tough situation. I guess you would hope you have a way to drive off immediately. It seems that verbal altercations mostly end bad. If at all possible be the better man and walk away. As to the firearm, it is of course impossible ...

Re: Gentlemen... Ladies be careful out there

I agree with always being armed (where legal). I figured out that I most typically broke this rule when I was driving home from work (where guns are verboten by company policy), and needed to run into a store for something. The problem is that all of my holsters required me to unfasten my belt and r...

Re: TABC inspector strong arming business

Not a bad idea. I'll ask the next time I'm in another store. As for this one, after I deliver the TABC response we will see if he takes down the signs. He knows he doesn't have to have them by his own admission just said he was scared of the inspector. Either way, if he doesn't take down the signs ...

Re: Looking for a good holster inside and outside

You didn't specify the model(s) or max price, but if you want something really nice at a not completely crazy price, then check out http://rdwarrenleather.com/index.html He's a really nice guy who makes truly beautiful holsters at a price point of right around $100. You could easily spend twice that...

Re: Henry Rifles: New for 2017

The detachable magazine models are interesting.

I have 2 Henry rifles that I love. My one complaint is the tube fed magazines. It makes it a bit challenging to reload at an indoor range with limited room to maneuver.

I think its' driven more by arrogance and not wanting to be told what to do instead of any anti-gun sentiment.

Re: Fuzzy's Tacos 30.07 posted

Not all, but a large number of OCers are tirelessly dogmatic about OCing. There's a simple solution for 30.07 posted businesses. Go elsewhere... That what the majority of LTC concealed carriers do when they encounter 30.06 posted businesses. Easy! I think 99.5% of all OC'ers do exactly what you rec...

And if it says "no weapons" make sure you enter naked, since anything you carry or wear could conceivably be used as a weapon. After all, we must avoid "The Ride" at all costs!!!!!!!

Re: Do you refuse to do business with 30.06 & 30.07 businesses?

What if the original 30.06/30.07 law as written by the Legislature stated that there would be no open carry at the Costco store in Frisco, the McDonnalds on East Mockingbird in Dallas and all AutoZone Auto Parts. In that case our right to open carry was never given to us in the first place at those...

Re: Courthouse carry legal?

I just got told by a county clerk deputy that you can legally carry in a courthouse in Texas with a CHL as long as it's concealed. Said a guy threatened to sue and the legislature changed the law allowing carry except in courtrooms. Is this true? I've lived away from Texas for a while. Working here...
